Stephanie Williams on the legendary iconicness of Louise Simonson!

“Louise Simonson should have been writing Wonder Woman years ago and for at least a decade. Reading her outlines is giving me creative chills. What a masterclass I'm getting for free.”

I cannot WAIT! 🙌🏾

Not getting into details, but my family is very far right oriented, and they're definitely not happy with the results, and well, I've been suffering the consequences of that

Stay safe y'all

#Inktober2026 Day 28 - “Trophy.” I don’t think of #WonderWoman when I think of trophies, but rather #Batman, so I asked myself, what if Diana visited the Batcave and started messing with Bruce’s stuff? #fanart

I have read this subreddit's rules are there any perez arcs as good as gods and mortals?

Hi all,

intermediate ww reader but longtime comic reader (I like all eras post silver age),

I got gods and mortals tpb on ebay and finished that, and read challenge of the gods online.

Gods and mortals was fantastic, challenge of the gods was solid but not quite as good.

I was wondering if there any arcs which stand out as much as gods and mortals in the George Perez run, because I can't afford to get the omnibuses or collect the entire run - so are there any specific story arcs I should get the trade paperback for?

From what I've seen online it seems gods and mortals are as good as it gets so this is why I asked here.

If there are any specific arcs in the Rucka or simone run (or any trade paperbacks, other than ww dead earth, absolute ww, which i already know about; you'd recommend generally, including elseworlds) which you'd recommend over the perez run trade paperbacks I'll get those instead

(also tpb is trade paperbacks)

Thanks a lot!

I have read this subreddit's rules I need someone else to comment on this because it does involve a Wonder Woman villain

the short short version

I was on the Zatanna reddit page, and someone created the word Ziganta (meaning giant Zatanna) on a post ala Zatanna using her magic to make herself giant size for her show.

But the neurons were activated and visions of Giganta and Zatanna filled my brain and a Wonder Woman, Giganta, Zatanna story that ends with Zatanna and Giganta having drinks at the bar in the aftermath and now my ADHD is out of control and this is something I didn't know I needed but it would give Giganta something to beyond being Wonder Woman's punching bag and it would be a villain we don't really see Zatanna deal with often and the shenanigans that could happen.

that's the problem with ADHD, when it's firing off, it's like an out of control gasoline fire.

I’ve listed her on eBay with a slight price reduction in comparison to the sold listings in the UK.

If anyone wants her, do let me know.

I’m back with more of my Wonder Woman redesigns! I’ve been redoing the entire DC Universe with a single, unified timeline from the ‘40s to the present day. If you want to see the previous Wonder Woman entries, or see the entire Superman story, I have them all here.

Just a few years into Diana’s Modern Age adventures and things go to hell. Darkseid invades and once again the Amazons go to war – this time against gods. Diana and Nubia don godkiller armor, Artemis of the Bana-Mighdall joins the cast, and we get Amazons vs. the Female Furies. Diana discovers that ‘The Duchess’, her old enemy from the ‘70s, was Lashina in disguise all along. In the climax, Diana faces Granny Goodness in single combat and narrowly claws out a victory. You can see Darkseid, Barda and Mr. Miracle, and more of this era from Superman’s POV here.

A few years later, Vanessa Kapatelis is kidnapped and turned into the Silver Swan by Vanessa Cale, Dr. Psycho, and Circe. Their larger plan fails, but Vanessa remains Silver Swan and Circe is held prisoner on Themyscira – which is exactly where she wants to be as she begins fomenting a civil war between the Themysciran Amazons and the Bana-Mighdall.

I wanted to make the Themyscirans more multi-cultural and also make the Bana-Mighdall more distinct from them. To that end, I have the Themyscirans draw from all around the Mediterranean and north African region, while the Bana are drawing from India, a bit of Persia, the Mongols, and other West-Asian cultures. A further change is that 'my' Artemis is a trans woman. She died heroically at the hands of wicked men and the Well of Souls, knowing exactly who and what she truly is, saved her from death and she was reborn as a full Amazon. I saw the Well of Souls as an excellent device to tell an interesting trans story, and Artemis felt like a good character to tell it with. Wonder Woman should be a story for and about all women. Artemis gets a great arc through the Modern Age, so stay tuned!

This is a relatively short ‘era’ in Diana’s story, but full of impact. Etta Candy retires at 87 and Julia Kapatelis takes over as the embassy’s chief of staff. Veronica Cale fully enters the story as Diana’s new central antagonist (though she remains a behind-the-scenes mastermind). Artemis becomes a central character. Donna Troy is growing up and becoming her own woman. WW has a brief but intense love affair with Aquaman (which I’ll explore more during his story, once I know what the f he looks like lol) but they both decide their responsibilities to their people make it a doomed romance. It’s a busy few years for Diana and Co.!

I have read this subreddit's rules Wonder Woman Villains that could have their own "Clayface-like" movie

I think the easiest one is Cheetah, but you could do something with Dr.Psycho if you really aren't afraid of showing how much a scum he is (something along the lines of Bear from Obsession)

Who else do you guys think could have it's own projects?

I have read this subreddit's rules Is DC pushing Nubia everywhere working?

I picked up a new 2026 copy of the DC Encyclopedia and noticed Nubia on the back.

Nubia has been pushed a lot by DC. They want her to be one of their main black characters and queer characters. She's been in several kid's books, middle grade books, and YA books. She's prominent in at least one DC webtoon/webcomic. She appears a lot on covers and is marketed a lot. No animated appearences yet, though.

So, how is her popularity?
