Western Wear on an Eastern Job
At 41, I became tired of my clothing failing under different loads and stress. Someone told me “what makes western wear is its work wear.”
Say no more.
Been turning my entire wardrobe over as a result. Here my Cody James composite toe boots put to work. My wife jokes she can tell how busy I was that day based on how distinct the line is between exposed and unexposed boot.

Lainey Wilson’s faux leather pants
Does anyone have these pants? I would love a pair but not sure how they fit. Do they fit small? Should I size up?

Western Wear & Interior Decorations
Hi all,
Thanks for having me here. So in short, I'm Dutch (The Netherlands) and we barely have any good Western Wear and Interior Decorations shops here... With obvious reasons and the few shops we got.. Well I don't like them...
One sold me a wrong sized pair of boots (they do fit, but not like they should). Last visit in the US I was properly advised for a pair of new black boots. So now I'm on the look out for a new pair of brown ones. If anyone has any recommendations on manufacturers of the boots. Please do let me know, currently using Ariat's.
Now on to the real reason for this topic.
I'll be traveling through Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia (maybe) and Maryland to a friend of mine in Delaware. Does anyone have recommendations on shops that sport Western Wear and Western Interior Decorations?
I'll be driving out of Louisville, KY to Middletown, DE and might take a stop in Mt. Crawford, VA for of course; BUC-EE'S!
So if anyone has any recommendations, even if it is not on the route..
PLEASE do let me know!
Thanks all! 😁

First post on this sub
galleryI’ve loved western style apparel for years now. It all kinda went into moth balls when I moved to the Tampa area nearly a decade ago. But, fortunately, the wife and I moved to the mountains of Western NC a couple of years back.
I was born and raised in a different part of Appalachia, but it definitely feels like home. And it’s a great place for western wear IMO.
So I waited a little long to do it, but I finally pulled all my western clothes out of storage a couple of weeks ago, and I’m back at it again.
I’m really picky about the kind of western wear for me. I like a more traditional look… for shirts, either solid or plaid. You couldn’t pay me enough to wear the shirts with patterns on the shoulders (and elsewhere). I call them Garth Brooks shirts… and I don’t mean that in a good way lol. It’s just my personal preference.
Blues really work well for me, or so I’ve been told. And earth tones. My main pair of boots are brown, so that’s my primary “pallet”.
And I know I’m droning on, but I just want to say one more thing: snap fronts rule! I’m kind of a big guy: 6’3”, not quite 250 (but working on getting back down closer to 200), and more than one lady friend over the years has told me how giddy it makes them to just rip those snap fronts open! Of course I’m sure it was more fun for all involved before I hit 50 a couple of years ago…

These are my favorite jeans I’ve ever had. I cannot find more of them
galleryAt first I just thought they were simply Regular fit cowboy bootcut Wranglers 36x30 with a nice pattern over the upper thigh. I love these jeans. I wanted to buy more but cannot for the life of my find more. And I got these from JCPenney. I’ve been to several JCP stores and cannot find anything that matches. Sure there’s other washes of regular fit bootcut but for one reason or another they don’t fit me the same.
Anybody know if this tag is useful at all to find more of this exact pair of jeans ?
Thank you all 🤠

My bf (26M) and I (26F) dressed up for an “elevated Western” wedding in Utah! How’d we do? 🤠🤎
galleryMy bf and I have been to quite a few weddings over our 2+ years together, but this one might just be my fav yet! One of his fellow wildland firefighter buddies tied the knot in gorgeous Utah, and the happy couple asked everyone to dress in “elevated Western” attire for their big day! We had SO much fun putting our outfits together! I’m no fashion expert by any means (lol), but we absolutely loved getting to dress up a little differently. We felt pretty darn cute and just had to show off our looks! ⛰️💃🧑🏼🚒✨

first western shirt. does this look natural or like I'm wearing a costume?
galleryFirst western shirt.
Plain dark jeans and boots, rest of my wardrobe is normal. Does one statement shirt work on its own or does the whole fit need to match the energy?
