TV The design of the Tulsa Police OwlShip (HBO Show)
I realized that there aren't really any good images of the Owlship's design from HBO's Watchmen series, just the shot of the crashed ship and some photos of the interior set.
These images come from a VFX video that shows the 3D model, as far as I can know, this is the only good look at the design. It’s a shame, because it’s actually quite cool: they changed the color scheme to blue and white to give it more of a police-vehicle aesthetic, added side-mounted turrets and extra lights, included four thrusters, and even added the word "Police" on the sides, it’s even got a red police light on top.

Thoughts on Pharaohs (2026)?
Personally, I disliked the contrast between relatively mundane abilities of protagonists and abundance of CGI, even though it was a bold idea to throw Veidt into the post 1985 world of genetics(creating living organisms to specifications) , psychic abilities and artificial monsters he himself helped creating.
It was funny that the old Veidt didn't want to give away the title of "smartest man on the planet" even to his own multiversal variant.
Also at the funeral we got a cameo of Veidt's love interest Miranda from Before Watchmen, even though it's chronologically impossible, but who cares, creators of the show certainly don't.( And, anyway I consider Before Watchmen semi canon at best).
It was cool that the young Veidt finally managed to catch a bullet rather than merely dodging it, such a great example of character development.
The show sometimes looked less like live action movie and more like a computer game, though.

People on this subreddit are kinda insufferable
Everytime someone even mentions a good quality of Rorschach people decide that makes the person who mentioned rorschachs redeeming qualities someone who thinks rorschach is some saint. Like, thats not how it works. These people are also the same ones who wont bat an eye when u mention liking ozymendias and dr manhattan even though they are worse. My guess is that because people link rorschach to a certain political side people suddenly see him as the devil in an attempt to show their political self righteousness. Idk tho.

My headcanon about Dr Manhattans hydrogen symbol:
First and foremost it represents how Dr Manhattan views himself in more cosmic terms (as hydrogen is the most fundamental element throughout the universe) but to me it also represents a handless clock, which fits with the recurring theme of time in his story and also represents his infinite nature, since he sees time all at once with little beginning or end so measuring time is meaningless to him. It probably sounds pretentious with the way I’m explaining it but does anyone else see what I’m getting at?

Which one is good at oily twerking? Rorschach 1 or Rorschach 2?

How differently would this fight have gone if Rorschach hadn’t twisted his ankle?

Do you believe that the story of Watchmen can only take place in the year 1985?
Stupid question on the surface,I know, but what I mean is that if someone was going to make a Watchmen adaptation (and that itself depends on your opinion on adaptations) and put it in a more contemporary time period, how open would you be to that choice? Or is the 80s too essential to be removed from the story without sacrificing its core?

Wizard Magazine January 2009 (Special Platinum Edition)
Interesting old Wizard Magazine I picked up recently. It also includes an interview with Alan Moore separately, but that part had little to nothing to do with Watchmen. This issue was heavily focused on the 2009 film.

Why the special thanks to Pat Mills?
My paperback says "With Special Thanks to Neil Gaiman, some guy, some guy and Pat Mills. I know Gaiman got a thanks because he did a lot of hunting sources for quotes and stuff for Moore because he's spoken about it but I'm curious why Mills was thanked. I know he was editor of 2000AD when Moore got his start, but I'd assume the Special Thanks had something to do with the creation of the book. Does anyone know?

Essay: The Grid | Notes on Watchmen
The 9-panel grid appears 132 times, or 38% of the book. See the breakdown of the top 10 page layouts with a deeper look at some particularly effective and unique grid configurations, such as grid style #34 that appears only twice, on Chapter 7 Page 27 and Chapter 11 Page 28.
Which grid layouts do you think are most impactful?
