If you have not yet registered to vote yet, early voting in NC is your final chance to do so. Early voting is from October 15th to October 31st. As of right now NC only allows you to register if you early vote at the same time. The deadline to register and vote on election day has passed.
This website is where you can check your voter information, sample ballot, and if your mail-in ballot was accepted:
In NC you must have a photo ID to vote, but if you don't you can fill out an exemption form and cast a provisional ballot. You can see the details here:
https://www.ncsbe.gov/voting/voter-id
Here is where you can find early voting sites in NC for your specific county:
During early voting you can vote anywhere in your county. This differs from election day voting where you must vote at your assigned voting place.

Yeah I could have told you this happened back home even without the town name in the title. 🧨💣
According to agents, the investigation started after firefighters were called for an explosion and structure fire. Court records said during their response on Cove Creek Drive, firefighters located a liquor manufacturing operation and contacted the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, NC ALE said its agents found an active 200-gallon illegal distillery and the agents seized 1,800 gallons of mash and 161 gallons of non-taxpaid moonshine. Billy Ray Anderson, 69, of North Wilkesboro was charged during the investigation.

Is it worth it? How scary is it? Good for teens? How long does it take to walk through? Can you go through multiple times? How are the lines?

Hey everyone! We’re traveling from the eastern part of the state next week and I’ll be proposing to my girlfriend of 2 years. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on any places that have a great mountain view where there won’t be a million people around? Were able to hike a short distance if needed (less than a mile preferably. We’re staying in Bryson City if that helps, but can drive a little ways if needed. I’m working with a photographer who is also helping me but figured I’d come here as well. Any advice/tips or locations are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If this is the kind of "third place" community hangout spot that you might enjoy, please head over to our page and take the survey & tell us what you'd like to have in your friendly neighborhood board game parlor! www.looking-4-group.com
The space is really coming together and we're on track to open sometime in November! Keep watching for details as we have em!

Sunday morning my girlfriend and I are coming up from Lexington for a day trip to look at the fall foliage. So far the planned stops I have are bridal veil first, then head to dry falls and after that drive into Franklin to check out the Wayah bald lookout tower, where I’m going to propose to her. Do you locals know of any other must see spots around the area (within an hour-ish) that we should check out? I’m open to all suggestions that don’t require long hikes, I’m in a walking boot right now unfortunately. Affordable restaurants? Cheap attractions? Things/places women are fond of? Etc. Thanks!
