Picture Wondering value

I have had this car 20 years, bought in new Jersey, had trucked to Seattle, have slowly done what I can, going to retire and down size, I just don't drive any more and just sits in the garage, 3 speed auto duel stromburg carb set up. 70,000 original miles, this car is almost totally original, I put new brakes and electronic ignition on it obviously tires and wheels, no rust wheel wells are pristine, Seattle areas. any ideas as to price or value. still haven't totally decided to sell, but getting there, always been garaged.

Thanks, really want to keep it but downsizing to a one car garage just can't see it sitting out in the weather.

Been there. Especially tough in the PNW where everything grows moss in a season.

My 740, T100 and L322 are all mossed up

You will kick yourself. That thing is beautiful. Man I remember balancing those damn strombergs and getting mercury from the cheap ass tool all over me lol.

Cmon man stop feeling sorry for yourself and put it in a giant bag. Get creative. It’s your damn car and if it turns to shit while you enjoy it for the next few years so what you saved it it’s yours.

Enjoy it.

No idea on pricing but that's a glorious looking thing doing very well in the Seattle climate (actually, I guess it's not too different to its birthplace). EFI should make it practical to live with but it will also mean that the concourse brigade will overlook it. I'd probably put it on steelies rather than the minilites but that's personal taste. If you're not in a hurry to sell make sure it goes to an enthusiast, not someone who's going to slam it and swap it.

You can’t sell man. 20 years?! You’ll be kicking yourself for the rest of your years for selling it. Keep it until you have time for it,

I would slap this on bringatrailer or cars&bids

It looks pretty original and low mileage I think it would pull between 6-12k

A 75 164 with 90k on it just sold for $8100

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1975-volvo-164-e-5/

People go crazy for the 142 manual coupes but yours looks like a very good “ survivor” type car

My opinion is $3500-6500, probably close to the mid-point. Unfortunately its not a desirable spec to the modern Volvo enthusiast - auto, 4 door, 6cyl. You might grab the attention of some of the older Volvo enthusiasts but even then, with the economy the way it is, Im sure most people are tightening their belts when it comes to hobby purchases

Best bet would be OHV specific forums/pages, BringaTrailer, and eBay for widest audience. Average craigslist/FB marketplace person isn't gonna recognize its value

Are you on the Volvo 164 page on FB?
One of the admins has a car very similar to this that has been in his family since he was around ten.
It is a global group with enthusiasts that may be interested.
