Embarkation / Disembarkation Concerns about disembarkation time
Hi everyone! My husband and I are traveling from Brazil to sail on the Scarlet Lady departing Miami, stopping in Costa Maya and Bimini. Our flight home is on disembarkation day four hours after the disembarkation.
From your experience, is there enough time to disembark and get to the airport without losing our flight?
Thank you!
P.S.: If anyone else is on this sailing, say hi!

Seeking Travel agent assistance Can I remove a First Mate from an existing, fully paid reservation? Crappy experience with Fora Travel
I’m hoping someone here (especially any First Mates) can offer some advice because I’m beyond annoyed at this point.
I booked a Virgin cruise through a Fora travel agent back on September 21 and paid in full at the time. Long story short, it’s been a complete mess and I’m wondering if there’s any way to remove the agent and just deal with Virgin directly.
I originally found her through CruiseCompete, which I’ve used for probably 10+ cruises without an issue. She promised a $150 Bar Tab, $35 onboard credit, and the Splash of Romance package. None of it was ever added. I also specifically wanted a fare that allowed me to book dining earlier, and she booked me into the lowest fare without really explaining the restrictions.
I’ve been going back and forth with Fora for weeks. A manager finally responded on 10/17 and confirmed that none of the promised perks were on my reservation. She asked for documentation, which I sent (including the original quote and literally a screen recording of our text conversations), and now it’s basically radio silence again.
To make things even more interesting, CruiseCompete has since removed this agent from their platform. They were actually great about the situation and gave me a $100 gift card as a goodwill gesture.
At this point, I’m just over it. I don’t want to deal with this agent again, and I’m honestly annoyed that she’s potentially getting a commission for making this whole experience harder than if I’d just booked it myself.
Has anyone actually managed to get a First Mate removed from a fully paid booking? I don’t want to cancel or rebook anything, just want Virgin to take over so I can manage my own reservation. And if you’ve booked through an agent before, how much can you actually do directly with Virgin without involving them?

Shore Things / excursions Can’t get a wheelchair off the Brilliant Lady in Ensenada.
In port right now went to get off and was told no ramp to accommodate wheelchairs. There are 5 steps to the ramp to the dock and was told I had to be able to walk down those stairs built into the ship. . When we booked this cruise was told I wouldn’t be able to get off in Catalina because of the tender boats and that wasn’t an issue. Was told Ensenada had an ADA gangway. Talked to Sailor Services and offered a spa treatment for the trouble. Super bummed and staying on board today.

Bookings/Cancellations Got Lucky with Splash of Romance showing up!!!!!
Me and the wife are sailing out Nov 8th for our First VV Cruise (casino comp). while researching I seen splash of romance and kept reading and reading and one day when ready to bite the bullet it was sold out! I was upset since this is our only vacation this year and I wanted to add a little more, Plus its my Birthday gift (turned 40!)
Well I been checking everyday if the addon would come available after reading so many stories and it was suggested by the crew. Well today was the day! I logged in scrolled and saw that beautiful couple smiling in color haha. I purchased that bad boy and it instantly went sold out again!!!! I don't know if it's worth it, but better to figure it out then miss out. Gosh I am happy.
Also I put a bid in for a balcony room, since our Casino comp room is a Sea view. They told me I can't bid, but if try why give me the option. So I am still waiting to see if I win, if not no worries (I'll just try again).
Anyway! if anyone can suggest things to do at our ports I appreciate it; Puerto Plata, San Juan, PR, Tortola, Bimini beach.
Not I am a Big guy 6'2 380, Wife is tiny 5'9 145. so I can't do anything crazy haha big places to eat or things to see and try, I would really appreciate it!!

Embarkation / Disembarkation DL not uploading
Has anyone else had any issues in the app with their documents? I have resubmitted my husband‘s drivers license probably about five times now. If keeps coming back saying there’s a glare. We sail out on Saturday and I do t want this to be an issue.

Offers / Sales / Deals / Pricing SOLOS - not recommended to buy the MNVV $150 deposit…
TLDR - do not buy the $150 MNVV when you’re on the ship solo!! It’s complicated for solos and not worth it, even though they sell it hard.
I bought the MNVV $150 deposit on my last cruise and was excited to go on VV again. After careful consideration I decided on my cruise, I went to go book the solo cabin and it wouldn’t let me do it on the website.
I had to call or contact their support department - since I didn’t want to incur long distance fees, I ended up booking it through someone on the VV website. They booked it but I couldn’t see the fare breakdown - once getting the actual breakdown they charged me $342 to apply the MNVV and I’d have to pay more overall.
Called back and she was able to cancel it, but I lost my deposit and am disappointed in VV. At this rate, I might as well go on a different cruise line since I’m not tied-down anymore or do something else on my vacation.
As much as I enjoyed my last Virgin cruise, I’m quite annoyed that this happened and it’s left a bittersweet taste in my mouth for VV cruises.

Review / Advice Scarlet Lady Diva is fantastic
I just was on the Scarlet Lady transatlantic - and Anaslaysia - the diva on the ship - was worth the trip. She is very talented and if you have the chance to buy tickets for her Sip, Snack and Sass show and/or the Late Night Soirée with the Diva - do it. Two of the best shows I have seen on any of the ships. She is nice and approachable and so talented. Her contract just started - so I hope many people will be able to see her when they are on the Scarlet Lady.

General Question / Discussion VV dropping SXM as port?
I posted about missing shore things yesterday, and a number of responses show it was not an issue localized to my sailing. Further, folks posted that they were seeing refunds on their accounts which potentially could have been port fee refunds, as they had not changed anything with their booking.
Given that shore things are blocked for months (furthest out was February not showing) do we think they are dropping this port? If so, when will they update affected sailings?

Weather Weather in Miami?
I just checked the weather in Miami for this weekend and there’s some storm and flooding warning. We’re supposed to leave on Sunday, what happens if there’s bad weather?

Offers / Sales / Deals / Pricing MNVV changes again
Virgin is changing their MNVV policy again. Effective 10-27 sail anytime, two years to decide. They previously announced sail anytime one year to decide, but never implemented that change. Today we were told it’s now two years to decide and sail anytime. I think this is good news. Previously you had to sail within two years and that was hard for some sailors. It applies to new and old MNVVs!

Review / Advice First Time Virgin Cruiser
Hello, I just wanted to leave a review on things I loved and things that didn't go so well on Virgin.
First the things I loved: The food was delicious and I loved we could do fine dining without an upcharge. I loved how they werent any high pressure sales tactics. There weren't photographers all over the place either which is nice. It was a pleasant change from other cruise lines. Very relaxing. We had a balcony room which was spacious. We loved the tattoo studio on board. Spent a lot of time and money there. The casino was small but fun. The shops were cute and decent. The adults only aspect was nice as well.
Things I didnt love: this is minor but someone forgot to put toilet paper in one of the bathroom stalls. We [my husband and I] changed our card on file while boarding and they didn't link our account which led to problems when we tried to disembark. Had to get out of line and go to sailor services before they let us off the ship which was also just a minor inconvenience. The major issue I had and am still having is with our Splash of Romance package. We Shook for Champange on our last night. After an hour we checked and it said it had been delivered but we never got it, we also checked our folio and saw we were charged for it. So we went to Sailor Services to ask where our bottle was and to get it removed from the bill since it comes with the package. We waited approximately 20 minutes and were told it was taken care of and it was off our bill and they would send another bottle to our room since we didn't get the one we ordered. Tonight we got our final folio bill via email and the champagne is still showing as a charge. I get on sailor services chat and am on hold for 45 minutes. Once I get connected they tell me they dont have access to the bill they just sent me and to check back in 24 hours. We had some back and forth, so overall over an hour of my time for nothing. In total its going to be around 2 hours of my time to get a charge off my bill that should have never been there in the first place. I definitely think other lines have far superior customer service.

food / beverage Virgin Voyages veterans: Which restaurant deserves a SECOND reservation? 🍽️❤️
Okay, experienced Sailors, I want your opinions!
Virgin has some fantastic dining experiences, but if you could go back to just ONE restaurant for a second dinner during your voyage, which would you choose?
Extra Virgin?
The Wake?
Pink Agave?
Gunbae?
Test Kitchen?
Razzle Dazzle?
Or something else entirely?
And don’t just tell us where. Tell us what you would order!
First time Virgin Sailors, this one’s for you too. Ask away!

Shore Things / excursions All shore things sold out?
Phillipsburg (Sint Marteen) very early December, suddenly every single shore thing is sold out. Is this likely true or a technical issue? I mean every single one of the 30 shore things are sold out... never have seen that before. Not even in Alaska!

food / beverage So disappointed by Virgin's boba!
I was so excited that the coffee shop started offering bubble tea on Brilliant lady. My first sip of this watered-down, flavorless drink with fake tapioca was so disappointing. The pearls have a terrible texture and artificial taste. What a waste of $9, probably the worst boba of my life.
