Due to an uptick in people ignoring RULE 3 this is a reminder that r/vintagetoys is NOT a marketplace. The only time you may post a link to a sale or say that you personally have something for sale is in response to someone asking for help locating that toy.

This is the only picture I have of a chainsaw toy that I used to have as a child, I would like to see if I can find one that I can give to my son.
AI searches have not been able to identify the toy model and keeps suggesting the wrong models.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Does anybody know what protectors will fit the old Barnyard Commandos, specifically this series? I was lucky enough to and found the full series (PORKS and RAMS), but want to protect them and hopefully flatten the cards

The conformity of the early post WWII period was slowly being eroded by monsters, Weird-Ohs & creeps. Weird-Ohs were one of many attempts to embody the notion that many Americans had that they could find themselves in the monsters, something that resonated very strong in my young brain. Bill Campbell was an artist for Hawk Models, who had up to that point made only plastic aircraft. Sensing a sea-change, Bill developed the Weird-Ohs, taking heavily from the Weirdo Art Kar Kulture scene of Stanley Mouse & Big Daddy Roth. What Bill added was a homogenizing factor of the market, turning the monsters into something that made more sense as a product. This worked, the models flew off the shelves & soon they were being used to sell bubblegum & appearing in their own board game & record! x SEAN

Hi all,
Does anyone have a dupe suggestion for the Ragland Bart Bunny Rabbit, the 20" long-legged brown and cream plush? I know I could buy it second-hand, but I'm hesitant to give a used toy to a newborn when I don't know where it's been or how it was cleaned.
Any similar bunny with that same floppy, long-legged look would be great, ideally something soft, machine washable, and newborn-safe. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks!

I still have a few of these.
From what I know, they were produced in south America and had many different distributors.
They were based on the late 70's and early 80's animé robot shows like Combattler V, Gaiking, Great Mazinger, Mazinger Z & Grendizer.

Hello toy collectors!
I can’t dig up any sales info on this old jewelry box, and was wondering if there’s a community behind Star Fairies or anyone who could point me in the direction of how to know what something like this can be worth. It has everything it came with except for the comb, including the unused stickers (yippee!). The batteries are obviously long dead but it otherwise still has its functionality. Thanks in advance, hope I can learn a thing or two about it!

Last week I posted a picture of 4 action figures, mostly MOTU, thank you to this group for the feedback. I’ve collected everything I have, shown here. What should I do with these? I like the idea of getting them into the hands of someone who would appreciate them. Thanks in advance!

The commercials were pretty cool. Wanted the sets but got to play with the figures.
