I have a license long ago and a Yaesu radio long ago to go with my Ops core AMP. I need help in getting set up. I dont know how to communicate with another HAM. I tried joining a local HAM club but havent had any luck. Just need help using a ham radio thru the AMP.

Hey yall. Recently found out that ill be moving to Hampton Roads area from Texas.

Since being here, ive purchused a short barrel upper and a suppressor.

What do I need to legally do to be able to transfer my SBR and Sup to Virgina? Im not trying to get a felony.

Also for added bonus, I have an FRT in my rifle.

I have been seeing conflicting information online through my own research, so I’d like to ask the group here.

I am planning to give my brother an AR-15 style semi automatic rifle as well as a 12-gauge pump shotgun, along with ammo for both and two 30-round mags.

Under current Virginia law, do we need to conduct this transfer at a dealer and run a background check? Would this change if this was a gift versus a sale? Any restriction on the 30 round magazines when it comes to a private transfer?
