Anybody know any local areas that play live music/have open jam sessions to join? I miss playing live on stage and seeing stuff. I’m under 21 so is there anything that’s not in a bar since most of them I’ve seen here dont let under 21 in at all, but I could be wrong

I’d like to send a freshman living in Clem Hall a gift card for food that they can use close to campus. I’m thinking something like a place kids order late night pizza for delivery, or somewhere popular that’s walkable. Any recommendations? Or, I could do a delivery gift card - does Door Dash, Grub Hub, or Uber Eats have better local coverage? Thanks for any suggestions!

Everything I read says that students need to live on campus sophomore year. However my nephew said he and all his friends lived off campus sophomore year 10 years ago, and I just saw a post from a year ago about living off campus as a sophomore. I saw the exemption list, but Im wondering if this is just not enforced with sophmores?

Do people know when they usually see their financial aid offer for the 2026-2027 school year?

I'm currently studying Computer Science at Laney College in Oakland, CA while working as a Software Engineer for a small company in Emeryville, CA.

I wanted to get an undergraduate degree in Computer Science because it would open more doors from me.

The problem is that a lot of Computer Science programs seem to run two steps behind in terms of what happens in the real world.

So in my case, getting a degree is doing the motions without actually learning something.

im a junior in highschool planning on majoring in either Art Education or a major in Fine Arts with an emphasis on a Teaching Certificate and maybe a minor in theatre. I just finished tours at 3 different schools: UW-Whitewater, UW-River Falls, and UW-Stout. Of those three schools, i only got to see a little bit of UWRF’s art and education programs, so i didnt really get to see much on the others. if anyone has any experience in those programs at UWW, what was your guys’ opinions on them? I plan on scheduling a more in depth tour for UWW and UWRF thats more program based so hopefully ill get to talk to some professors or students in those programs, but i wanted to post this anyways to maybe get more information on my interests.
