Graduate Student Fun Classes

Are there any fun classes anyone recommends to take senior year? I’ve got scuba diving on my radar, and I’ve heard of a wine tasting class but can’t seem to find it. Wouldn’t be opposed to an interesting history class or something like that too if anyone has any recommendations

There’s a chocolate class where you get to taste chocolate!

I don’t get to take any fun classes since my schedule is so full, but I loved geography 101 bc it was such an easy class and the professor I had was interesting.

Seconding the gta history class! Very fun and interesting and an easy A if you put in enough effort

I graduated more than 20 years ago, so I have no idea if they are still offered, but, if so, the History of Rock and Roll and the History of Appalachian Music were both amazing classes that I took for fun.

I remember History of Rock and Roll. Wasn't he a fun crazy black professor? I think I took a golf class. It was a 3 par course past the murder Weigel's.

ENGL360 with Anne Snellen. You pretty much just watch Battlestar Galactica and do some writing assignments related to it.

honestly I might get hate for this but I'm taking HIUS 222 and I just think the in depth aspect of a history course is actually really cool, I feel like I've learned much more and corrected wrongful past teachings from being in the course

I really enjoyed my religious studies class with Dr. Mark Hulsether and the workload wasn't too bad because we watched a lot of movies and then had discussions. He's just one of those teachers who is fun.

Jazz in American culture has been super interesting for me, but that might just be because I love jazz and I love American history

Italian culture through TV. You just watch TV shows for homework
