🚩London Breakfast
Wife's idea, was supposed to be low fat but got carried away. Buttered white toast, smoked salmon, avocado with scrambled egg & chilli flakes topper.
OAP cod and chips
I hate the uncomfortable full feeling from finishing a usual portion of chips, this pensioner sized meal was the perfect size and the curry sauce was non negotiable.

First time using Sunday Roast leftovers to make “Bubble and Squeak”! Really impressed by how it tasted but not sure how to make it stick together better?
I fried a diced onion in a pan of butter and a drop of oil, and then added in the leftover roast potato, carrots, peas and broccoli, and mashed/squished it together. Rosemary, thyme and parsley was also added.
I did think that I could have probably also diced the bacon and introduced that into the mix, but I didn’t want to get too complicated for my first attempt of bubble and squeak.
But I wouldn’t mind some tips on how to really force the mixture into a more hard/firm disk, unless it is supposed to be quite loosely compacted?
I don’t think I’ve ever tried it before, so I’m not entirely sure how it is supposed to be.

🚩South East Fish and Chips at the seaside
In Felixstowe, awful weather but had fish and chips with curry sauce. I had cod wife had haddock. £19 with a cup of tea.
Had it at the Saltwater which is in the running for best national chippy. It was quality: lovely cod with crispy batter. Chips tasty, nicely crispy. Curry had a nice fruity twang

I've Made a Terrible Mistake
I made a big batch of homemade tzatziki and just had some with my lunch.
My whole existence is now garlic. RIP to my coworkers. I don't think the Smints are gonna help me this time.

I made bread and butter pudding with crumpets instead of bread 🍓
I made bread and butter pudding with crumpets instead of bread 🍓
Following Pudding Week on the Great British Bake Off, I had to give Sofia Bakes' viral crumpet bread and butter pudding a go.
Crumpets, vanilla custard and strawberry jam, baked until the top was golden, crunchy and caramelised.
I'll admit, I wasn't entirely sure how this one was going to turn out. Crumpets are already basically little custard sponges with built-in holes, so in hindsight, maybe this was always going to work.
The strawberry jam bubbling away between the crumpets is an absolute winner.
It's definitely not traditional bread and butter pudding, but I'm not complaining.
Has anyone else tried this?

Last night's meal was roast dinner followed by tres leches Oreo cake with Halloween sprinkles
The cake looks messy but tastes so good. It's got condensed milk, evaporated milk, whole milk in it and broken oreos, the glossy thing is evaporated milk lol. Topped with whipped cream. Son went crazy with the sprinkles. Can't beat a spooky treat while watching terrifier 2 once the little one was settled

🚩North West Starting a medieval tavern-themed food stall in Cumbria. What would you want from it? (Survey)
I'm planning a small food business called Friar & Fell: a travelling medieval/low-fantasy tavern for fairs, markets and LARP/D&D events around Cumbria and the Lake District.
The plan is hearty medieval- and Cumbrian-inspired street food (jacket potatoes, bread bowls, giant Yorkshire pudding bowls with stews and braised meats), with strong vegan and vegetarian options, sensory-friendly serving, and some tavern games alongside.
I'm at the stage where I want honest feedback before spending money, including criticism.
What would make you visit?
What would put you off?
Is the theme a draw or a gimmick?
