Yesterday (Oct. 26th) ATCO ran a whole day of interviews for their engineering co-ops beginning in May 2027 in the natural gas department. I was told to expect to hear back the end of the day if I'd gotten the position but its been radio silence. Has anyone gotten any call backs or do we think all hope is lost? Just looking for some more perspectives.

If you've grabbed food in Mac Hall recently, you know a basic meal combo easily hits $15–$18 now. At the same time, campus vendors wrap up every evening with unsold meals, baked goods, and prepared food that gets tossed.

A few of us graduate students at Haskayne are doing research for an ENTI 601 project on campus food affordability and food waste.

We’re testing the viability of CampusSaveBites - a concept similar to Too Good To Go, but built specifically for campus vendors (like spots in Mac Hall and campus cafés). The idea is letting students reserve and pay for end-of-day surplus items online at a steep 40% - 60% discount for a quick 15-minute pickup before they close.

To see if this could actually work in practice, we need honest data from people on campus:

• What price point actually makes end-of-day surplus feel like a deal?
• What pickup times work around late lectures, labs, or TFDL study sessions?
• How critical are dietary labels (Halal, Veg, Gluten-Free) and Unicard payments?

About to graduate my masters. Everything started because of a temperature issue. My room was at 14C. I have a baseboard heater ( every room does) but the one marked with my room number wasn't doing anything. Landlord deliberately told me to not touch or put any of my belongings outside what's marked with " my room number" I sent her pictures of my thermometer and asked her to please help and in response I got the message in the pic.

The good thing is I got my temperature issue figured out ( I just tried to move the next room thermostat and it immediately worked for my space)

Bad news is I don't feel safe or comfortable to here. Landlord is clearly abusive and will take my deposit ( already told me it was 350$ for " lying " about the heating).

What do I do? Lease is until dec 31 and it started Oct 1.

I’m going to India for my cousin’s wedding in Winter 2027, likely from late January to mid-February. I’ll be taking 4 courses that semester, and I’m concerned about potentially missing midterms during that time.

I know that a family wedding probably isn’t considered a valid reason for a deferred exam, but I’m wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation.

Has anyone had success arranging to write midterms early, taking them after returning, or having the weight transferred to the final exam?

I'm a third-year student, and I usually get average to good grades. Lately, I've been struggling in my major classes to the point I feel like I'm the worst student in the class, and it's really affecting my mental health. I feel like a failure because I just don't understand the professor or the concepts. I just got my midterm grade back and I don't think I will pass this class. I've never failed or dropped a class before, so I don't know what to do. I'm too embarrassed to talk to anyone about this or go to academic advising... I've even been considering changing my major. Please help :(

Hi yall I’m incredibly sick rn, like fever, dizziness and I have a throat infection. I got antibiotics but idk if my doctor will write me a doctors note to defer my midterm, and I’m scared that my request for writing the deferred midterm will be denied. Does anyone know what my chances are?
