Speculation Usc start time

It's still TBA but any good guesses on the start time? I'm hoping it will be an evening start. I have to request time off. Please, not a 12:30 game!

Under the Big Ten media deal, the three biggest games each week are usually, in some order:

9:00 on Fox
12:30 on CBS
4:30 on NBC

Fox already chose Ohio State-Michigan (and the west coast teams can’t host at the 9:00 slot anyway).

Given that UCLA-USC will likely be the next-highest profile game that day, we’ll either be at 12:30 or 4:30

Unfortunately, we may not know the exact time until six days before (usually the game times are revealed 12 days before but the networks are given a few six-day exceptions per year and usually save them for later in the season). So we may not know for a while. TV runs this sport, for better or worse.

Thank you. So there is zero chance it will be an evening game... Unless both teams fall off the map, right?

I’d be shocked if we’re not at either the 12:30 CBS or 4:30 NBC slots. Even with a terrible team last year and USC outside of the playoffs we were the 4:30 selection last year.

UCLA and USC would likely both have to fall off considerably to not be one of those games. Looking at big ten schedule that week,
only other game with likely playoff implications that Saturday would be Indiana-Purdue. Wisconsin and Iowa, even if they go on winning streaks, play on Friday. If UCLA and USC both drop off and Northwestern is magically 10-1, maybe UCLA-USC gets bumped, and even then, tv networks like big market teams (USC, as much as we deservedly make fun of them, is still a big national brand).

I wish it was public which network, CBS or NBC had the next highest priority that week, then we could predict with higher certainty.

You mean 7:00 or later? No, almost certainly not.

For me, 4:30 is an evening game and I think that's definitely in the cards.

Imagine if they put us on Big Noon on FOX (0900).

Don't think I've ever seen a west coast game in that slot

Predicting Gameday will be there and guessing a 4;30 kickoff local time.

No way gameday will be there. USC is going to lose at least 2 of their next 3 games and will be limping in at a 7-4 record.

I would think that NBC would want it for there 4:30 time slot, but I don’t know if they get first choice

I feel like 12:30 is the most likely start time.

I would love the 430 start time... give me a game that ends in the dark!

OSU- Michigan game is locked in for 9:00 am. SC game should be most impactful game of day, so definitely a 12:30/4:00pm start….IMHO🤔
