What does blocking do now?

Blocking always meant the person can’t see your posts or tag you. Now they can see it all AND repost with comment! What does blocking do at all ?

Once Musk took it over, he wanted to reduce user rights so that his political trolls could further harass Trump and Republican Party opposition. His changes had a universal effect on all. People were also blocking him. He couldn't be having that.

nothing basically, they just wont be able to follow you or reply, but still see everything you share, comment, etc.

You can't follow, DM, or reply to someone who has you blocked

But it is future. It doesn’t stop current harassment. People get meaner by reposting with comment. And then complain about being blocked!

Harassment?! You've blocked them. They can't harras you 🤣. I prefer it this way. That way, after I block them, they can still see all the crap I talk about them, but they can't do anything about it but just see it. 😂

LOL. That's fine by me. I don't have to see if I choose not to... they are blocked. They can't directly Reply to my comment. They can't like it. If they Retweet my comment... that's fine. More people seeing my Tweet 😊. They can tag me, Retweet me, and I don't have to see them unless I want to by tapping View or by Unblocking them 😂. If they want to stay obsessed with me and still see my comments, I'm fine by that 😅!

If you're blocked, you can't interact with a blocked person's content.

That's basically it - it still shows up, oddly, like a "look at you're missing!" type of situation.
