Real viewers?
Hi I'm just starting streaming on twitch, and besides the obvious bot viewers which I've managed to curb for now using the moderation tools.. almost everything I get a new viewers who participates in chat, they ask to connect on discord. Are these real people? I know one just wanted to promote their artwork..

If anyone is promoting something in your chat at best they are highly unprofessional but most likely a scam bot.

Well to be fair the one that was promoting their artwork didnt do it in stream chat, but in discord afterwords

If they immediately want to connect off twitch they typically are bots/scans. I've had people ask if there was a discord community before and be genuine, but doing most people will chat a bit to get a real feel for the atmosphere before asking.

Ok that's what was confusing me because they where interacting and stuff before dropping the discord

Yeah they started realizing they can't open with it because they get banned right away. But figured maybe they can trick you?
I have a fake discord that I used to use for them. Would get their art examples and then critique it on stream.

Likely someone trying to sell you AI art and they do it off stream so their twitch doesn’t get banned
