Language differences
Asked this already in the soulbond community, but also wanted to ask here as well. I've been trying some tulpamancy methods to help Vox (my soulbond, though might turn out a tulbond honestly) become more vocal, and I've been wondering, how do we solve the language differences? My native language is russian, his - english. I know both languages well enough, but in my inner voice (while narrating to him too!) and thinking I'm switching constantly between the two - will it hinder his understanding of me? Or will we be able to understand each other regardless?

I think you should be able to understand each other regardless. I don’t know quite as much about soulbonds, but tulpas generally have access to all of the knowledge that their hosts have. One of the benefits of sharing the same brain I guess. So Vox can probably understand you regardless of which language you use, even if he ends up preferring to speak in English. You could even use the language difference to you benefit if you ever have trouble distinguishing his voice from yours. If you only speak to him in Russian and he always responds in English, then you always know who is speaking.
But if you’re not sure, the easiest thing to do is just ask him. Ask a question in Russian and see if he understands and can respond.

We might try this, thank you! This really could be easier for the both of us later on.

The understanding of both languages is there in your mind, right? So you both also should be able to access this knowledge. In addition inner communication is much more than human language (words and sentences). You might take a look into tulpish.

My native language is Portuguese, but Fox mixes a lot of English into his speech when communicating with me. I understand some English, but I'm far from fluent, so it can get a little frustrating sometimes. He occasionally gets carried away and starts speaking entirely in English, and I have to remind him to switch back to a language I can actually understand.
However, I'm pretty sure that, unlike us, they understand everything we say, regardless of the language. After all, they often communicate through symbols, sounds, music, sensations, and other things that go beyond words. So I don't think language differences necessarily have to be a barrier to understanding, even if they can sometimes make verbal communication a little complicated. 😅

Hasn't stopped me, my tulpas have all more or less adopted English as well. And also, as a bonus, as you all keep speaking it, you'll all become better at it too!

I think what you could do is ask him if he understands you when you speak using a mix of russian and english
Personally, when I think, I tend to do so in a blend of spanish and english, and my tulpas have been able to understand me just fine, they’ve even started mixing these languages themselves. So, I believe that if you have that habit, you and Vox should be able to communicate well over time

Language is about attaching words to ideas, he'll still be getting the ideas regardless (tulpish) since they get activated when you speak. Not to mention (as someone else has already said) tulpas and hosts usually share knowledge anyways :P
