who can I take my car to get an mvi done?

I need them to be reasonable, it's an old car but it's in good shape.

Dean and sons Auto service. I’ll caution you they do smoke in the shop. Or at least they did when I was there back in April. The smell didn’t linger to long in the car. Great bunch of guys though. Been around a long time.

The cost of an MVI should be the same anywhere you go, $29.95 + HST. If not, they're charging too much. Some shops are quite thorough (as they should be for safety) & will get you on every infraction. Others will let small things slide like a burnt out license plate bulb. If you get a rejection sticker, you have, I think, 10 days to get things repaired & get your inspection sticker at no more cost that the original check at the same shop. Anything passed on the initial check cannot be failed the second time.

The real cost comes from repairs that need to be done. Parts & labour can be costly anywhere you go. The cheapest isn't always the best. Good luck, OP!
