Who else wants to see Dazzle reworked?

I'm curious because I for one absolutely hate the current version of dazzle and he used to be one of my most played heroes.

His ult is awful and his scepter is outdated and we don't need him to be potential played as a core.

Drop his ult and let him focus more on healing, make his ult give something like 5%, 10%, 15% healing amplification. You could also make it so his healing amplification can stack or maybe make it so his heals can't be affected by health restoration reduction. I can see if maybe those things are seems too powerful, but I'm just throwing shit at the wall.

Scepter could give you some of the bonuses nothl projection gives. Like the healing at the end of shallow grave, the cd on shadow wave could be reduced by 10% or heck make nothl the scepter itself.

Maybe I'm way off and maybe there's a lot of people who love the new Dazzle, but I feel like they just do too much on some of these hero reworks that don't really do anything positive.

Would love to hear other people's suggestions and ideas.

Pub Player Offlaner vs Pros — What Do Pros Do Differently?

What actually separates a pub player from a pro during the laning phase?

In this video, I analyze Divine and Archon replays and compare their laning decisions to professional players.

I look at the small mechanics and decisions that can completely change a lane, trading, positioning, creep aggro, wave control, when to push or hold the wave, and how players create an advantage.

I also explain how pros recognize when a lane is in their favor and how they can break the balance of the lane to create better opportunities.

Link here: https://youtu.be/DfxQbfbvMww

Also, thanks everyone for sending me your replays and match IDs!

I couldn't get everyone into this video, but like I mentioned in today's video, I'll most likely be making another 2 videos, so I'll keep looking through some of the games from the people who sent me their match ID or friend ID.

Some of the replays were unfortunately too old (I think Valve doesn't let you download replays that are more than 5 days old sadge), but I'll keep checking the ones I can!

Thanks again for all the submissions.

Immortal EU - at what times are games the best?

According to my own findings, the absolute worst matchmatcking is between 08-15 daytime.

The games are extreme stomps. Many smurf accounts, people disconnect over and over again, pick obnoxious heroes and are generally very toxic.

Every game is a stomp either way.

What times are the best to play?

Talking 6200 mmr EU west.

Tired of wasting my time when all I want is high quality dota

I can only win with medusa

I have been playing this game since January of 2015 almost every day. I started at 1800 and peaked at 5400 mmr in 2018 (I even matched against sumail in a pub during this time and won).

I have primarily hovered between high legend and mid ancient since 2019. I have mainly played medusa as you can see in my dotabuff profile. Everytime I play a different hero or role I lose very badly and get flamed to all hell from my team. I get sad and the cycle continues of going back to my comfort hero.
From pre 2020 I played medusa mid - post 2020 I played medusa safe lane.

I come to these realizations and try to venture out and improve then I get bored and jaded and revert back to my comfort hero. As you can see in my dotabuff stats, I really tried to improve with traditional mid heros but all of my winrates are ~42% even with significant games played. I even did several mid specialized coaching sessions back in 2017/2018 and it didnt work.

Wtf is going on here? Why can I only win with medusa? I think my brain just connects with medusa the most?

Question: does it make sense to play unranked until my unranked mmr is high and then do ranked?

hi I have ranked mmr of 1.5k mmr but in unranked I consistently get queued with ancients, divines and sometimes immortals. Will I improve playing this way and then I can do ranked when I can carry these lobbies by myself?

or should I just play ranked and get better that way

What is the player selection priority in Immortal Draft (Lobby - not ranked) for 11 players?

If there's 11 players in the lobby, with Immortal Draft selected. Which player is excluded from the draft? Is it random or is always the last player who joined the lobby?

7k mmr coach giving FREE coaching sessions

Hello everyone, i've made these posts regularly for a while now so it's nothing new, i have some free time and i'd love to give back to the community by helping some of the people that aren't able to afford coaching usually.

I'm a 7K mmr coach and i've been coaching since 2018, i've helped hundreds of students get to enjoy the game more and reach their goals while having a less stressful, more enjoyable relationship with dota. a big part of how i coach is centered around fun and feeling good, my philosophy with coaching is that for most people, the deterrent isn't the ability to learn, nor is it mechanical skill, but it's almost always consistency, and the biggest enemy of consistency is not having a good time when playing dota.

often times people force themselves to play meta heroes, to play specific roles, to do things they don't really enjoy because they believe that is the optimal way to rank up, and what i want to do is help people realize that this isn't necessarily the way to go, that you can rank up and achieve your goals while having fun, the hundreds of people i've coached are proof of that, and i am proof of that myself, as i've always just played what i enjoyed no matter what.

my coaching style is very versatile, i can do replay analysis, live coaching, and i can also do entire sessions where we simply discuss theory about things such as how to form a hero pool or how to get a better mindset towards the game and improvement.

Feel free to dm me to chat and schedule something together, thank you for reading!

A party-queue habit: agree on when to turn back before a smoke

Before a smoke or a move into the enemy side, try having one player say two things out loud: what are we playing for, and what would make us turn back? The second answer can be as simple as 'if we don't see their initiator' or 'if our carry isn't close enough.' It won't make the call correct every time, but it gives the group a decision to compare with what happened.

After the game, pick one move. Did you agree on a stop condition before committing, or only argue about the fight afterward? Try counting that for five games instead of judging the habit by wins and losses.

I build DotaSense, a Windows app with habit reminders and a local postgame notebook, so I'm interested in small routines that survive the next queue. You can do this with voice chat and a note; the app doesn't know when your smoke is good. If you play party queue, what short call has helped your stack avoid a bad commit?

Midas on Enigma Offlane. Can someone tell me if this is bad?

My current build right now is drums -> tranquil -> midas -> dagger -> shard -> bkb -> aghs -> octarine/refresher -> travels -> shiva

So far it works in SEA 6.3k bracket.

The reason why I postpone buying dagger instead of midas is because lv1 black hole cd is sooooooo long. You have dagger and then hopefully your ult used and not canceled.

Then okay you've used it. And you afk farm again because you have no black hole...

Kinda sucks ngl.

So really, is midas really bad here or nah?
