If anyone remembers, The Chicken Shop was like a hipster Nando's in London. It had the most delicious salad: butter lettuce, chunky avocado slices, and a beautiful dressing I can't quite recall.

The Joes club is literally just a basic chicken sandwich but there are two things that are so addictive for me.

First is the bread but that is easily found online in that they source from Denmark but the pesto.

I'm sitting here eating a joes club right now and I always ask for extra pesto. This is straight crack directly in to the bloodstream.

Many years ago, when my wife and I were just married, we found a recipe for Biafran stew. Somehow we received a Galloping Gourmet cookbook and tried different recipes.

This stew recipe is the only one that we found that we continually use. And in fact I found out that our daughter continues making it for her family.

It’s a stew made with chicken, beef, tomatoes, peppers and onions. It has hot sauce and served over rice.

Does anyone have something else that they found years ago and still use?

In Slovenia we used to have a hamburger called Royal Cheese, it was my favourite burger

But then they took it away, so if I want it now, I have to drive 150km away to eather Zagreb, Croatia or Klagenfurt, Austria

I somehow migrated to cheeseburger cuz it tasted similar, but I never knew why

I grew up near a Sentry grocery store, and my parents would regularly buy their chicken salad from the deli. I remember it was pinkish in color, like maybe it had paprika? The Sentry closed down years ago, and I'd like to try making that recipe at home. I know the grocery store still exists in some parts of the US - maybe someone knows what I'm talking about?
