Season Four So about contraceptives…

Post image

In the final good place they don’t need to use contraceptives?

Since babies can’t be born there

How nice!

now i started thinking about what they can Not do or Not happen to them in the good place that could on Earth. like injuries? can they break a bone? can they drown? maybe these are stupid questions

There's probably a filter they can turn off and on, like the hangover one. There's also the scene where Chidi is bleeding after getting attacked by his pet owl. This is, of course, assuming the original Good Place neighborhood was built exactly to the specs of a real Good Place neighborhood.

In theory they can't get injured. Like when those 2 guys got crushed by a dumpster, they were fine afterwards. Cuz they're already dead. But since it's actually the bad place I'm guessing they actually could feel pain and have injuries. Like how they turned back on the ability to have hangovers.

Do they poop? We know Bad Janet doesn’t have to poop, she chooses to! Does that apply to humans too? If so, do any of them choose to poop?

Later in the series Jason mentions that the frozen yogurt in the original neighborhood gave him diarrhea all the time

Oh that’s right! So we at least know they can poop in the fake Good Place…

I don't know about the new Good Place, but in the Good Place when Team Cockroach first arrived, people definitely need to pee.

Unless… they choose to need to pee and ignore that part at-will?

They don’t have real bodies. They’re dead, how could they drown?

If you were a person on Earth who always wanted to be a parent but never could, Janet could probably recreate everything a person wants to experience about it.

That would be so sweet!
I would totally watch a show of these janet “babies”/ creatures who similar to Michael would also try life on Earth after many jeremy bearimys of dreaming about it!

Yup, you can fork their ashes off without any benchy side-effects.

I mean, if you fork them in the ash, pregnancy is usually not a problem anyway.

I think of it this way; in the afterlife, your human BODY stays on Earth, decomposing or having been cremated or whatever. What humans *experience* in the afterlife, while they remain in one of the afterlife places humans go as humans (Good, Bad & Medium), is spirit/soul/essence based, but also contains their consciousness. The representations of their human forms are conjured just like Teacup or any other physical element of the afterlife that they interact with.

We're already told that demons get skin-suits that mimic human corporeal existence. What makes Janet unique, is she conjures human essences that have human consciousnesses & some sort of essence/spirit, that never actually existed in a human form. I don't think any other afterlife being does this, not even

Except Judge Gen in the tests.

Gen has apparently the same powers of creation as Janet; there was Test!Chidi and the Al-Jamil parents who were definitely actually in the Bad Place at the time.

OH! Good point! Totally forgot about their tests! Editing above.

That is good, since birth is a curse and existence is a prison.

The good place would rather pretend children just don't exist to avoid the horrible implications that children were being tortured in hell by a system they could never pass.
