DVD vs Streaming?

I’m really big on physical media and ownership for movies and shows and unfortunately there’s no Blu Ray released but I did see there’s DVD releases of the show, either as an entire box set or individual seasons.

Only thing I’m worried about is significantly lower quality on DVD vs streaming. Does anyone have any physical copies of the show that can say if they can notice a difference?

I don’t have any paid streaming platforms and I know it’s free on Roku but it’s not on demand so I have to just watch whatever episode is playing.

DVD will never rival HD streaming but at least you only pay for it once. That's why physical media owners still buy it.

Maybe why it’s also $150 😂

Indeed it is exactly why

But yes, physical media rules. I’d still rather pay $150 for a low quality version of the show than pay Hulu $12/month forever

You need to watch it on VHS 4:3 aspect ratio, so you can get the full 80s effect

LOL that would have been brilliant if they'd released the series in VHS shaped cases

DVDs will look worse than HD streaming. Not horrible, but not HD.

I haven’t seen the show just clips online so I don’t know if music is a big part of it, but the DVDs will most likely have the original music instead of random copyright free music that it’s been replaced with on streaming

Hulu kept the all the music or at least a majority of them
