Finally got AVGN 8-Bit for NES (Plus Gold Cart)
Took about a year but finally got the nes version of AVGN 8-bit. Way harder to beat but had a blast. Luckily got one of the 500 Gold carts and it’s beautiful.

My opinion is Firefly for Atari 2600. Atari 2600 games are very hard to review because the gameplay is extremely simple and would be difficult to add to a ten minute episode. Apart from the abysmal music and glitches, there's not much content here. In terms of quality, I think Firefly is the worst ever and yet not many people are aware of this game.

When I saw this in a retro game store the only thing I could hear in my head was AVGN yelling NOOOOOO! How could they sell this piece of crap? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!

Hey all, my AVGN 8-Bit NES game is finally on its way. YAY!
Being based in Australia I've just remembered that my NES is a PAL system (original and un-modded) and I'm assuming the game has been developed for NTSC.
I've just done a quick search and found out that the lock-up chip might stop the game starting and that the game will run 16% slower due to clock speeds from of CRT hertz rate differences.
Does anyone have any further insight? Any other Aussies out there who bought the game hoping to play it (and how?)
Big Thanks!

Got my copy in the mail today, and damn is it cool. The gold one was sold out already when I pre-ordered last year but the blue cartridge is very nice. The signature in the manual is probably just printed on but I thought I'd include it anyway just in case someone knows if he actually signed these

Okay, I don’t know if it’s actually spectacular because I haven’t been able to sit down with it, but I did actually receive my copy of the NES version of AVGN 8-bit, so 2027 came early I guess. Here’s some pictures…nice package and the game’s running on my NES with no issue.

Their Amazon Prime or YouTube releases? I consider YouTube the official dates and Amazon more as sneak peeks or early screening.

I'm thinking of a level headed video game dork who looks in old abandoned games. games that critically acclaimed, games that are overwhelmingly or mostly positive on Steam reviews or games that were kept alive theouhg the modding scene like games such as X-Com UFO Defense, Cities Skylines, F.E.A.R, and Crysis. And he plays on the lowest difficulty level

When I was a teenager I tried the hole "angry reviewer" thing but could never make it my own. Now I'm proud to say I've got a style all my own that is HEAVILY inspired by James and the retro game community he's helped to create over the years.
(I'm sure you can see the inspiration in the "room"'s decor and with the how I interact with characters ripped straight from the games themselves)
Like many of you, I've been watching Cinemassacre since 2008 when I was just 10 years old and there has never been a channel more inspiration to me, so I thought I'd try to post my stuff here and show the effect James and his work has on other people!
