Growing up, I loved reading my dad’s Tintin albums. Never drawn him that much though, so felt the need to sketch him

Imagine if Herge lived longer than he did, published alph art, and then made a few more final tintin books. Hypothetically, what sort of themes would they have? In my opinion Herge grew very interested in blurring the line between good and evil (for example in the picaros we don't know if alcaraz is good or bad). Perhaps we'd have seen a morally dubious character who uses technology to his gains introduced. I also think Herge would have brought the series to an end by making tintin die. Let me know what direction you think the series would have went!

Do you prefer when he speaks his own thoughts or do you prefer when he just barks? Personally I think he's hilarious.

Is there a video of herge painting and inking a tintin page from scatch? I'm curious about his process and wanted to know how he colored the comics after inking them. (Especially in a era with no digital art)

Any similar video also works with a different artist.

Update: Found amazing stuff on the official website: https://www.tintin.com/fr/news/4278/tintin-prend-des-couleurs

The Black Island

Hi everyone

I have recently been thinking about selling my childhood book set, but I cannot figure out how much to sell it for as it seems to be pretty rare?
It’s got the soviets and Congo as the first volume, rather than the tintin in America, blue lotus etc.

The set has mild sun fade on the spines of the books, and the box is damaged at the edges, but other than that it’s in near perfect condition.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, it’d be greatly appreciated!

I think he became less savage later on, but I really love this no holds barred, unhinged version of tintin that loved to get in fights. In the later comics he's never like this but early on he seemed extremely willing to brawl.

Bonjour, j'ai une collection complète des 13 Rombaldi. Superbe collection intégrale complète. Je cherche une personne intéressante pour les achats ou troquer, de préférence un collectionneur (étant peu user)
