Discussion Ramon Foster, man
Man, I know a lot of you just, uh, like watch the games, man, on TV, but, man, I was listening on the radio in the, uh, like, car yesterday, man, and uh it just made me want to, like, uh, throw out a question, man, about Ramon Foster. Man, I could completely, like, completely, man, understand putting, like, a Pittsburgh Steeler in that seat, man, I mean, really, man ... if he uh, like, man if he was, like, a, uh, really good broadcaster, man. But, this, uh, I mean, like, really, man, doesn't seem to be, uh, the case, man.

He did color for UT last year and I genuinely wonder who ended that relationship. I assumed he did because coach mac died and it was only after that he was brought in.
But I didn't think he did a great job for UT last year either. And I don't dislike Ramon but it just makes 0 sense him being the color guy for Titans. He never played or coached with this team and I believe he still does a weekly Steelers podcast.

I don't care if he was Ray Lewis doing color commentary for the Titans if he was good at it. Unfortunately Ramon blows and has the charisma of a dish rag and so does the other guy in the booth too. I've legitimately heard better local highschool games called better than whatever the fuck is going on in the Titans broadcast booth.
We deserve it for being fans of this team, so it's whatever

Thank God I'm not the only one. This post returned the sanity I lost yesterday. I feel less intelligent every time I listen to him. There has to be a way to get them to move on from him quickly.

Going from listening to Vols broadcast on Saturday to the Sunday crew is so so so sad. This organization is fucked. I seriously wonder if Nihill is the worst team president ever employed in the NFL

Mike Keith is so good calling Vols games

Hearing him say "Touchdown Tennessee" instead of "Touchdown Titans" makes me tear up a bit. I'm happy for him, though. That had to be his dream job and it seems like he's killing it.

I listen to the games when I'm doing yard work because they USUALLY describe what is happening on the field better than the TV announcers for obvious reasons. But I'll usually listen to the away team radio because ours is sooooo bad.

Only hear Titans Radio when I’m taking a piss at stadium but the Zarzour’s ‘That is a Titans Touchdown’ call is so fucking lame

He’s avoiding using Mike Keith’s catchphrases, but I agree. “TOUCHDOWN TITANS!” and “SAAAACKED!” are SO MUCH BETTER than “That is a Titans’ Touchdown” and “They got him!”
He’s in a VERY tough spot, following a Titans LEGEND in the broadcasting booth.

I definitely realize Zarzour is in a tough spot, but his play by play fundamentals are so weak. Mike Kieth was out there painting a picture of the field with words.
The best that Taylor can do is remind me that Tony Pollard is the “Eighth Year Man Out Of Memphis”.

It got so bad one week I started listening to the away radio crew.
I don’t advocate for people losing their jobs especially on the non football side of things but they really really shouldn’t be NFL broadcasters

Have you seen the product on the field? Id struggle to make that sound entertaining too.

Thank you! I posted this was the problem when they hired him. He doesn’t say anything! And people downvoted me saying I was making fun of his southern qualities. I’m from middle Tennessee. But I can articulate my thoughts and opinions unlike him

I agree 100%
Titans are the only nfl team to get a former player of another team to be their radio guy lol

The Rams color commentator is Maurice Jones-Drew who played primarily for Jacksonville.
The Texans have Andre Ware who played for Detroit before the Texans existed.
Jones-Drew played college at UCLA while Ware played at Houston, so similar to Foster in Tennessee. (Yes, UT is in Knoxville but it is the state university with an enormous fan base in Nashville.)

I’d say the rams get a pass because they have no LA Ram history to draw upon that’s not from the early 90s.

Based on my research these are the big three -“Man”, “again”, and “right there”. Every single call will have at least one of these three, guaranteed. Probably once or twice a game you get the trifecta, really gotta listen for it though.

There really isn't a lot of talent in the market unfortunately. Though I'd hope they could find someone better than Foster. Even if they have to poach an announcer from CFB or another team. They probably won't though because they don't want to pay anyone. Radio is dying media and all that.

Like we couldn't even get Zarzour full time, he still does college games. And he's really nothing special.
At least we still get Mike Keith for Vols games.

I can't take you seriously when you name Buck, Blaine and Hutton. I'd say of them Buck is the best and he's more entertaining than "good." Blaine literally just got fired for getting into a shouting match at his job.

Thank you for bringing this up. He sounds unprofessional. I don’t understand how someone who cannot communicate effectively and overuses a filler word (man) has a job as a broadcaster. I hope kids do not think that is how someone should speak in this world and follow his example. SMH!

Then you got will bolling there with him and he just sounds like an annoyed bratt all the time when fans try to critique the titans on call ins

For as long as I live, I will never understand the decision from Titans Radio to replace absolute legends of the franchise with two people that have zero relation to, and more importantly no historical knowledge of, the team.
