What can I do when there isn't a single place that sells tarot in my city? My city and country as a whole follow Islam and to them stuff like tarot are ungodly so it's almost impossible to find a tarot deck and i was wondering what to use instead

I am absolutely in love with the Cat Tarot deck by Megan Lynn Kott 🥺

I’m so happy I picked this gem up on an impromptu trip to my local CVS today. What an adorable blessing ❤️

Got my first reading done today and trying to find the specific deck she used. I remember what she pulled for me and want to read a little more about them.

Here’s what I remember if you can help me find which specific deck it was:
Larger than a deck of playing cards
Purple back with a green logo looking writing along one edge
The cards I received were:
Joy(looked like sunlight breaking through clouds)
Flow (water with maybe a sword in the middle of it or a pole?)
Strength(looked like a tomb opening/stonehenge-y)
Separation (that had like a python shedding its skin on it)

Any ideas gang?

Hello everyone!

A little over a week ago (like... 8 days ago) I was delivered a deck. I've been connecting with it by shuffling it often for a few minutes and just, generally, by holding it in my hands.

Today, however, I've noticed that there are some small dark spots on the right edges. They're easy to remove by scratching them away gently, but they're numerous (and kind of annoying, given how much I care for my decks). And it's not the first time this happens to me either: another Tarot deck I have has the same exact problem!

So I wanted to ask: what are those? Is there any way to remove them for once and for all/prevent them from appear?

Thank you beforehand!

A few more cards from the printed Hive Deck, a Major Arcana deck where every card was hand-painted by a different Hive Gallery artist. I laid them out as a four-card "changes" spread:

1. It's Over: The Hanged Man by Christopher Ulrich
2. Lesson Learned: The Hermit by Paul Whitehead
3. New Influence: The Devil by Emi Takano (yes, that fuzzy little devil is the actual card)
4. Must Embrace: Judgement by Michael Divine

Happy to answer questions about the artists. Which of these four styles speaks to you most?

Looking for some indie decks to spend an etsy gift card on. I greatly prefer illustrated decks to photography or collage, but I’m open to anything. I have the Somnia Illustrated Tarot on my list and have really resonated with Midnight Magic, Unveiled Tarot, and Deviant Moon! I love a GREAT guidebook and an illustrative but semi-realistic style (RWS, Unveiled, Somnia Illustrated, for example). Looking for rich colors as well—not too monochromatic or pastel.

More interests and likes/dislikes:

Not looking for a black and white deck. Love mythology, archetypes, literature, botanicals, Christian mysticism, psychology, shadow work.

I just got my deck Perfect Organism Tarot and boy am I obsessed!

If you are an Alien franchise fan, or like a cold brutalist style tarot, you will love this! It has no guidebook so it is not really a beginner deck.

I’m all about companion oracle decks and I wasn’t sure what this would go with. Well it’s always fun to shop my own collection first and I was very happy this oracle/ tarot deck matches with it beautifully.

Hi everyone!

We're Marco and Fabio, two Italian artists, and we'd love to share our latest project with you!

CATOMANCY: The Summoning is a brand-new 78-card Tarot deck we've been working on, inspired by the Rider–Waite tradition but reimagined through cats, witchcraft, potions, spells and the occasional magical disaster.

We didn't want to simply replace traditional Tarot characters with cats. Each illustration is built around the meaning of its card, giving the familiar archetypes a new (and often rather questionable) feline interpretation.

We previously created the original CATOMANCY, and this new deck takes its little universe into the world of witchcraft.

We're currently live on Kickstarter, and we'd love to hear what fellow Tarot enthusiasts think of the cards!

If you'd like to take a look or help us bring these magical cats to life, here's the campaign:

Thanks for checking out our work!

So I'm looking for a new deck and one of the qualifiers for me is that the Tower (my fav card) has to have some unique imagery.

An example of what I'm looking for would be similar to Heavenly Bloom deck by Noa Ikeda.

It doeesn't have to be this style in particular, just share the deck where the atower stood out for you most!

Can anyone please help me recognising this deck? What is the name of the illustrator? I need to buy it where can I buy it?

I want to share these vintage cards1976

So about 3 weeks ago I ordered the Orc Alien World Tarot deck from US Star Wheel, the deck looked really pretty. But as of today, I have yet to receive any sort of notification of shipping or contact from the numerous attempts I have tried to contact them. Has anyone bought and successfully received product from their actual website before? I wanted to buy it from them because they were the only site still selling the deck with the PVC option? As opposed to the standard/paper option? Whatever the "paper" option even means?? Does anyone have this deck? What does PVC option mean? Is the website a scam?

Edit: So as of a few days of posting this it did suddenly arrive in the mail. I never did receive any sort of shipment notification, no tracking number, no correspondence from my inquiries. So the site appears legit, despite almost NO customer service support at all. I still wouldn’t order from them though unless it’s your only option, and expect it to take around a month to arrive!

I recently purchased a deck for my wife. It is her first deck and I spent a lot of time looking around Etsy and specifically disregarding anything that admitted to using AI in their art process. I triple-checked that the one I settled on didn't. It just arrived and it's lovely but there were enough indicators to make us suspicious. Sure enough, when we asked the seller directly they acknowledged using "AI tools" in their workflow.

My frustration level is... high.

Given that I can't trust Etsy, what I'm asking for is recommendations for stores that I could purchase a deck from with high-quality, human-made art. I don't mind digital tools being used, but not generative ones. I'm not saying that I want the actual physical cards to be hand painted, just that it be a real person's head, heart, and hands that created the artwork, top to bottom.

Thanks in advance.

The official Heavenly Bodies tarot website directs you to purchase the deck on Amazon, but all the reviews I'm seeing look AI/written in the exact same way--bolding exactly one sentence, talking about love and intention in the deck, etc. This makes me question if the artistry is AI, as well. I haven't been able to find anything online about this.

Has anyone seen or handled the deck and can give some insight into things?

ETA: I found their instagram account @lilyashwell which states that it was all done by hand, but they have at least one weirdly AI-friendly post, saying that AI wont replace artists, etc.... I dont know any artists who are okay coexisting with AI.

Does anyone know of a Scotland-themed tarot deck, using imagery and stories tied specifically to Scotland?

Please don't say "Celtic," please don't say "Celtic," please don't say "Celtic"..... Celtic is definitely not specific to Scotland, and I'm looking for specifically Scottish themes.

(Bracing for numerous "Celtic X Tarot" suggestions anyway.)

Today, there is a vast array of Tarot decks on almost every theme and in every style. That’s why, when creating Vycinanka Tarot, we wanted to do more than simply adapt RWS classic imagery. We really wanted to create something of our own.

Vycinanka is a very specific technique, it’s essentially paper-cutting, and not every familiar image fits into this style. Also, it’s a folklore-inspired, Belarusian deck. That’s why some of our symbols, and even the names of the cards, differ from the traditional ones.

For example, our Chariot features an old Minsk tram, toy horses, and golden apples. It’s the only card in the deck set in a relatively modern world.

The Chariot speaks of will, movement, and control. A tram also needs to be steered, even though it runs on rails. But the charioteer isn’t entirely free either, right? He chooses a path and sticks to it.

In the background are the Minsk Gates, which are located in Minsk near the railway station: a symbol of arrival, departure, and a new stage in life. The toy horses represent wild, almost childlike energy that needs to be channeled. And the apples? Not every element needs a deeper meaning 😄

When we started, I thought creating a deck was as simple as taking a familiar image and depicting it in your own style. But if you want to create something of your own, it’s a constant search. You have to keep thinking, over and over again, about what can be changed and what’s important to preserve.

And sometimes I wonder if we’ve gone too far. After all, for me, Tarot is more than just a set of familiar symbols. But how far can you stray from them while still keeping the card a Tarot card?...

Did this company recently also make an Every Day Witch Oracle Deck ? I ordered what I thought was an Oracle deck by them and got the tarot version instead

Hi, I actually wanted to buy myself 3-4 decks as my bday is coming up and I wanted to treat myself.
I am not sure about the deck though, I do have certain themes in mind but not sure if I can really find it. For extra info, my fav decks are ethereal visions, art nouveau and my melody's cinnamoroll deck.
1st deck - as most of the deck I have/plan to buy/want are light coloured I want something which is in black and gold mostly like the gold foils one. I want something that feels a bit expensive a bit similar but different vibes from my usual decks, more black loving CEO boss vibes if that makes sense?
2nd deck - something that feels like autumn, cream and pumpkin type colours that do not hurt the eye and feel comfort cozy and warm
3rd deck - For winter months, again something that feels cozy but in a bit more white-light pink-grey colours
4th deck - something which has animals in it just complete animals either different or same ones not too chibi but yes something cute.
If there is a deck which combines more than one of whatever theme I want I would really appreciate that too.

I ordered this as my first deck and I'm still waiting for it to arrive. And I wanted to see if someone has it already and what are their opinions about it since I couldn't find much about anywhere. The deck is just too gorgeous for me to resist. lt's full name is Classic Wett Tarot Gift Set, Pink Gold starry tarot cards
