Hi everyone,

I’m currently preparing my application for the MSc in Applied Physics (Quantum Track) at TU Delft and intend to apply for the QuTech Scholarship.

I downloaded the scholarship application form, but there doesn't seem to be an explicit option or checkbox for the "QuTech Scholarship" listed on it. Since the TU Delft application portal/website is currently down for maintenance, I can't check the online submission fields right now.

For those who have applied for or received the QuTech scholarship:

Did you just submit the generic TU Delft / Faculty scholarship form and detail your QuTech focus in your motivation letter? Or is there a separate submission pathway (like emailing QuTech Academy directly)?

How does the scholarship selection integrate with the main Osiaan/student portal application?

Also, if anyone currently studying in the Applied Physics Quantum Track is open to sharing their experience or giving a quick perspective on the program, I’d love to connect! Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hey there,

I have registered on Studielink and received a link to osiaan applications portal with my netID details. When I go to click on it, the website doesn't load ("this site can't be reached, website took too long to respond"). It's not an internet issue, and my friends from different countries are also experiencing the same issue.

How to solve this issue? I plan on submitting my application soon so I'd really appreciate advice.

Edit: I'm applying from France, if this information is somewhat necessary.

Hi all! I'm an international student and got accepted into a PhD position in TU Delft. Start date seems flexible but I'm most worried about finding housing.

I know that September is usually the start of the term, so I would be competing with practically everyone. Would it be better to do it a few months before or after September?

Or does it even matter in the current housing crisis?

Would appreciate it if anyone could share their own experiences!

With the clocks changing and winter on the way, it’s getting dark way earlier.

We really need more street lights at TU Delft, especially along the path to the Aula tram/bus stop.

If you know any other spots that need better lighting, comment here

Hopefully TU Delft sees this post and takes note :)

"After years of waiting, TU Delft is finally on the (tram) map.

Yesterday, tram 19 reached the campus, and what a multimodal scene: trams, cycling, walking and green—all sharing the same car-free corridor.

This is what a well-connected university looks like: making the right choice the easy choice."

Hello,

I'm looking to sell my first year AE textbooks all are still in pretty good condition, since I never ended up using them.

Feel free to message me if you're interested

Hi! I am a first year student in CSE and i am struggling to find a part time job here in Delft. Does anyone know ehere I could find one? I am 20 years old and only speak english. Thanks!

Hey guys, Im possibly looking into applying to the CSE program and currently doing a little of their EdX Pre-Calculus Course.
Could i expect the math to be of the difficulty in their training sequences/homework or if its harder where should i practice from?

Any insights about the test are greatly appreciated!

Really just want to know how hard it is to get in.

For a bit of context on my background, by the time I apply, I will have 5 semesters completed from a bachelor's in "Micro and Nanotechnology Engineering" at NOVA FCT, Portugal, a 15.5/20 GPA (top 10%) and roughly 11-12 months of research experience, probably no papers. 3 months at TU/e during 1 summer, 5-6 months at CENIMAT (a research institute from my university) and another summer internship.

Hi guys, I’m looking to do the bachelors in aerospace engineering at delft. I’m currently in the process of completing my A levels in maths, physics, and business. What grades do i need to get accepted into the course. I also do an EPQ if that helps.

I am currently applying for this scholarship for an MSc in Environmental Engineering, and I wanted to understand what faculty members consider worthy of recognition in the scholarship application. Is it someone who has conducted research and demonstrated proper results?

How exactly should we approach writing the form? Should we also demonstrate our technical knowledge and include data where relevant?

I would really appreciate guidance from a previous scholarship recipient, if anyone is here.

The form is so concise that it is difficult to convey why we deserve the scholarship. Should I tailor my responses to the faculty members or to the independent selection committee?

The word “successfully” is misspelled as “succesfully” (missing an “s”). My main concern is whether this could cause any issues when applying for master’s programmes at other universities, particularly outside the Netherlands.

Hello everyone! I can see that TU Delft updated their admission requirements for the MSc Data Science and Artificial Intelligence , adding a new category of a "Research Project" which requires 15 ECTS.

I am covering all other ECTS requirements , and I've done a thesis project in my BSc in my home country (EU) which was worth 10 ECTS.

I have also taken the GRE exam and met the minimum requirements.

I've also sent an email to the admissions office some weeks ago but still got no reply.

My question is whether these requirements are strictly enforced. Would they reject me on the basis that im missing 5 ECTS from my research project?

Or can I combine research projects to reach the 15 ECTS threshhold? (even though the page mentions "independent research project")

I am trying to apply to TU Delft. I have created an account in Studielink and I received the mail for my NetID, however, when i try to actiavte my NetID in the password.tudelft website, it constantly gives me an error that the web page is not accessible. I have tried to enter the site for a couple of days, I tried to enter with a VPN in case it was a location issue but it still doesn't work. Is the website down? Am I doing something wrong?

Hello everyone,

I'm in the middle of preparing my application for the Master's in Mechanical Engineering at TU Delft. I know this might not be the ideal place, and I'm sorry that there have been so many posts like this one before, but I just wanted to reach out and see if there is anyone who has gotten into TU Delft for MSc in Mechanical Engineering, is currently studying there, or is a past student who could take a look at my letter of motivation and give me some feedback. I would really, really appreciate it. I completely understand how busy everyone is with your own studies or work, but any insights, critiques, or advice you could share would honestly mean the world to me as I try to make my application as strong as possible.

If you have a few minutes to spare, please drop a comment or send me a DM, and I can share the draft with you. Thank you so much!

I'm an exchange student and I have 3 oral exams next period. Are they harder than regular exams? Is it public or is it just in front of the examiners?

Hey there! I am in my 7th semester of my college and have started to send out applications for universities abroad for my masters! So I was wondering if there are anyone else who’s also planning to apply here for their MSc? It would be a great opportunity for us to connect!

hello! i’m a 16 year old girl that’s really interested in space (or specifically aerospace engineering) and this uni has definitely caught my eye. now it’s true i will be applying a bit before finishing high school which is 2-3 years away, but u wanted to hear from people that go here. i just wanted to know if you regret your choice of uni, if you liked the netherlands as a foreigner, and if you are studying aerospace engineering, how is it going? honestly i don’t know much about unis so i don’t know what to ask…so please tell me as much as you can. thanks a lot for reading.

Wondering if anyone or anyone you know got into a PhD at TU Delft with sub-par grades. My MSc grades are basically around 7.3, but my thesis topic was quite similar to the PhD topic in some ways.

Preparing my application for the Architecture masters and look, everything I’ve done for like the past three years has been pretty much to get this scholarship. Work experience, awards, grades, etc.
I’d say my profile is pretty similar to the ones listed on the scholarship’s page.

Reading some posts here though, I kinda feel like all of this is pretty much the baseline to be admitted at all! Applying to the Architecture track seems brutally competitive, almost like you need to have built a city before you even write a motivation letter :P

Is the scholarship worth applying at all? And does applying well before the deadline give you any advantage?

Happy to read your thoughts on this!

Also if you’re applying for the scholarship, the Architecture track, or any track for that matter, maybe hit me up! We might not get the scholarship but we can help each other with our application :)

Hi, I am a super curious how is the life at the Delft and I got some questions for people who study there, because I studied (and graduated this year and I want to see how the things are going into international universities). Can someone message me? But I'm very interested in electrical engineering.

Hi everyone,

we are looking for participants for our experiments. This involves a role-play scenario with audiovisual recording (based on informed consent).

You’ll play a landlord or prospective tenant in a face-to-face rental negotiation with another participant. Read your private role instructions, discuss what matters to you, and see whether you can reach an agreement. You’ll also complete short questionnaires. No negotiation experience needed!

With your consent, the session will be audio- and video-recorded for research purposes.

📍 INSYGHT Lab, Building 28, TU Delft
