Bad Curb Rash. What to do?

Post image

team I fucked up my rim real bad this morning 😭 i’ve been researching DIY repair kits and watched some videos, figured I could try to do it myself at home with my bf’s help. An auto repair shop near me said they can repair it for around $150-$200. Is it silly to try and do this myself with how severe it is? Is it worth just spending the $200 at the shop for a professional job?

Doesn’t fit?

Is it me, or, do they not fit? Doesn’t seem to matter which way I move them.

Edit: Well then! I sort of feel better finding out they don’t fit. What’s up with that? If you all can post links to products (Sport, with Harmon Kardon) I’d appreciate it!

Shouldn’t my 2026 Forester braked or at least pinged getting so close to the freezer in my garage?

Should I return my Subaru

Well I had been wanting to make the switch to Subaru for about a year.

Finally pulled the trigger and picked up a 2019 Subaru Forester with 52k miles from Carvana and loved it right away.

Well I was driving tonight and had a bunch of errors start popping up.

Has anyone had an issue like this before?

I am taking it to a shop tomorrow but want to know if I should return it with my 7 day window.

Any advice is appreciated!

2022 was sent Starlink logo keeps repeating, cannot get into the system. I checked the net and it said to remove the DCM fuse, but I can’t find any such fuse, any such fuse, any suggestions about how to solve this? I read that this may be draining the battery

New to the Subaru family! Any tips, suggestions, thoughts on a 2024 Forester?

Hey all! Just purchased a used CPO 2024 SK Forester Premium in horizon pearl blue a few weeks ago. Very much enjoying it and getting used to all the Subaru nuances compared to my 2019 CRV that was totaled (such as crackling engine when cooling down, louder/jerkier engine turn over when starting, a bit slower acceleration with CVT, louder road noise/feel). I’ve already got quite a few accessories and have added stuff to make the car more comfortable/personal.

I plan to keep this car for a long time and will keep up on maintenance (I’ve created my own schedule and will follow to it exactly). Is there anything that I should be aware of with this model/year? I’m already aware of the TCV issue and hopefully will not have that issue come up (or at least it be open when it fails). Any paint issues? Other mechanical issues? Any suggestions for customizing? I’m thinking of getting tint sometime next spring… Thanks!

NEWS FM1WHM203-970 has ruined my Android Auto experience with my S26+

Audio dropouts, google maps lag, total disconnects.

The android auto worked perfectly when I bought this car. I've tried all the suggestions I know, clear app cache, mess with the bluetooth audio settings. What can I do? Can the dealership do anything? They won't roll back I'm sure.

I may be joining the Forester family.

I've had my CR-V for 8 years and it's currently sitting at over 200k miles. The car still drives, however I'm starting to notice little things here and there. Anyways, I've been searching cars for a couple of months and I saw a 2020 Subara Forester Limited to looks really nice. I'm excited to be test driving it tomorrow and wanted to know what I should look out for?

I’m torn between a 2026 Forester Wilderness with 16,000 miles for 36k OTD or a 24 Forester Wilderness with 80,000 miles for 25k

Do you use voice commands on 25/26 Forester?

how well do voice commands work on the Forester while driving for settings like turning on the defogger or stuff like that?

(Coming from an old analog car, I am still on the fence)

Hi guys, so to cut to the chase, I know very little about cars and have been in desperate need for a car and am nervous about buying one without having some feedback from people who are more knowledgeable than I.

This is a Subaru Forrester 2012 2.5 sport 4d
It has 160,000 miles on it
Owners price is $3000

I’m desperate and yes make fun of me all you want in the comments, I’m just new to all this

Thank you guys! ā›µļø

Looking at a 2020 Forester Sport. Worth it even with potential future issues?

Local dealer has a 2020 Forester Sport with 35k miles for a good price compared to national average. Test drove it the other day and we like it. Clean CarFax and all of that but the main thing holding us back from making an offer are things like the probability that the TCV will fail eventually and talk about the windshield cracking easily and interior wearing down more than other cars over timem etc. Are these valid concerns that should point us towards looking at more expensive but newer year models or unjustified cold feet at this point?

Charger vs ā€œmaintainerā€

I recently bought a 2025 Subaru Forster with 977 miles at dealership. I love it so much! The only issue electronically is that the charger doesn’t work. When I bought it, the guy I test drove with called it a charger. After I got it home and realized the charger only charges for a few seconds before stopping I brought it back to the dealership and they said it’s only a ā€œmaintainerā€ meaning it’s only supposed to maintain current battery level. But it doesn’t even do that. I have full warranty. Is this something anyone else has come across?

Front camera

Has anyone installed a front camera in the grill on a 2019 Forrester? I go mild off Roading, but it’ll be extremely beneficial to see clearance in those blind spots.

2026 QOL accessories? [Canada]

I'm trying to find two things: window rain guards (or deflectors or whatever they're called) and side door molding, the strip that goes horizontally across the doors to help prevent other people dinging your car.

I'm also looking for a hood deflector, but I've heard these are touch and go because they can interfere with the Eyesight tech.

If anyone has found these in Canada, could you drop a link and/or price? Not interested in buying from Amazon, I've looked at what is available and it's a no for me. Thank you!

What's an accessory or QOL thing you picked up that improves your daily drive?
