REWATCH S8 E19-20 Moebius - "Didn't the tape say there were no fish in your pond?" "...Close enough." Ha. Spoiler
Lots of fun moments in these two episodes. Time travel can often be messy, and sure there are questions, but I think this was nicely done overall.
When alternate Teal'c saw the tape and heard that he has a son, and that the Jaffa are free, he got visibly emotional, but he told Jack by the jail cell that he couldn't help, yet then he suddenly changed his mind and went with them. Why?
At the end that fish in the pond was a funny moment. I wonder hypothetically what happened in that timeline to cause fish in the pond.

Discussion Unending & SG:U
On a rematch and realized Unending (SG:1) is Univese in a nut shell IF the "right people" had been sent - and it still wasn't all that pretty

Discussion Continuum Jack's Reaction
I always thought that the alternate timeline Jack's reaction to Daniel, telling him about the Charlie from the main timeline, was too much. I completly understand him being upset that someone is talking about his son killing himself with his service pistol, but I think there was more to that. My theory is that the shooting still happened it was just a non-lethal wound, possibly in the shoulder.
Hear me out.
Let's, for this argument say that this alt-Charlie found Jack's gun just like in the main timeline and it went off. However, instead of accidently shotting himself in the head or heart, he hit is shoulder. A shot to the shoulder would likely not be lethal if it is treated quickly, but it is close enough to the head that it would terrify the parents.
So, maybe the reason this alt-Jack reacted so strongly to the knowledge of his son's death in the main timeline was because if not for a few inches to one side, it may have happened to his son.

This is a good idea right?
Printing these would be a good plan for our world right?

Ask r/Stargate Anyone else feel like the unexpected renewal for S8 was inadvertently the death knell of the franchise?
Looking back on S8 it just seems wrong the way they had to end the Goa’uld and replicators.
Like I get why the writers did it, they’d been done to death and considering the Goa’uld were supposed to be the ultimate force in the Galaxy the fact that humans always got the better of them in nearly all encounters it did get old but looking back with the hindsight goggles on it seems wrong to have effectively wiped them from the map in a couple of episodes.
If SG-1 had of ended as planned with Full Circle then perhaps today there’d have been an opportunity to bring the old antagonists back having that 20yr gap to relieve the fatigue.
I just wonder how much S8/9/10 contributed to Amazon pulling the plug on Geros reboot. Was it too much to wipe out the main antagonists, the secondary antagonists and introduce a new Antagonist in the form of rebranded recurring storyline of the Ancients.
It feels like it was trying to do too much in not enough time and has inadvertently led to the situation we’re in today with Amazon binning Geros reboot.
Anyway…. (Eating fruit loops)That’s just how I feel, what about you?
