That my Question With Halloween a few days away i figured this needed a Fallow-up

so what do you think would be a Spy X Family Halloween and what would be the plot and would Anya where a costume in it? Is her mission about getting the best candy? Or something else?

Just spit balling there so what would be your ideal Spy X Family Halloween how hilarious would it be how wild is the plot I imagine having a few horror moments maybe it starts with Yor doing an Assassination and the story writes itself from there considering its a Halloween story that or Three house of Horror thing

I imagine Yor in a very bloody mission & has sorta a sad end like a Winter Soldier comic story with nice epilogue seeing Loid & Anya returning from taking Anya Trick or Treating which looks like to be it's own adventure from look on Loid face

I grew up with anime and manga, and my tastes have changed a lot over time. Even though I still read One Piece today, I’ve moved on from all the “new gen” battle shonen and the like. I didn’t read anything besides One Piece for quite a while, but then I discovered Spy x Family and it’s wonderful.

It’s generally the humor and yet the seriousness in many chapters, that captivates me. On top of that, I’m currently catching up on the manga by reading a few chapters a day whenever I have time. The story isn’t strictly linear with every chapter, sometimes there are chapters that just show funny everyday moments and I like that, because you can just enjoy the moment of reading this chapter, and if you forget some of it, it's no big deal.

However, the reason this image became one of my favorite pages is because of the arc leading up to it, featuring Martha. The way it depicted war, suffering, hunger, love, happiness, and hope in just a few chapters was impressive, followed by a chapter where Loid complains that the only news being broadcast is about a sea lion. I liked Yor’s take on this, that boring news means good news, and that the world can therefore find peace at that moment.

This double spread perfectly conveyed that sense of peace and tranquility without words, using only images. The visual presentation here is simply perfect!

I don’t know if that was the mangaka’s intention, but at least it had a huge impact on me!

In the bus arc we learn that they were a student movement group who campaigned for peace until the SSS turned violent and killed Billy's daughter and went after Billy despite him originally not being a member. I wonder if Yors view on them would change if she knew this fact.

So we finally have confirmation that the government creating enhanced individuals with super strength and super intelligence.

**TLDR: I think there were two waves of enhanced people (project Adam followed by project Eve) and a second generation of Adam’s kids (project Apple)**

So weirdly this hinges on **Bazooka Bill** of all people lol.

That kid is not normal and his dad is in the military and would’ve been the age to fight in the last war, likely at the end like Loid. I don’t think Bill was experimented on but I think his dad was and was one of the original wave of super soldiers used to end the war because we know the war would’ve ended around 17-18 years after the first one based on the known ten year gap and Loid’s age when it started and his age when it ended. It would also make sense that he would be the Westalis equivalent of a Baby Boomer who was born right after the war.

If project Adam was started as a response to the first war and super soldiers were used to end it (obviously not confirmed but like If you create super strong people and the war ends right after that would make sense). Bazooka Bills dad would like be around 16-17 years old when he entered which adds up.

Wave 2: I think there was a wave two that was based on the dna of subjects of project Adam, project Eve that Yor was a part of but based on her not remembering I don’t think she was directly experimented on like Gympie who does remember and was probably wave 1 since her powers are so specific. Also Eve was created from the rib of Adam.

How did Yor get powers without experimenting? My guess is after they had success but high cost and casualty rates in creating super soldiers they mightve taken a wider net approach and done a mass inoculation of babies to kids to preteens with a “vaccine” based on project Adam success that would instead of put all their eggs in one basket, try and strengthen the population and find recruits that responded the most to it

Which leads us back to Eden Academy which is a highly competitive school that pits kids against each other to become imperial scholars which would let them find people who were enhanced.

Before this all came to fruition the project Eve was shut down due to the war ending or just low success rates that were hard to measure and then the affected people just walked around normally.

So that all goes down and there’s a large gap between Eve and Apple which is examining the children of project Adam who would be the most likely to be born enhanced like Bill and Anya’s (telepath)mother would be more likely to be like Bill’s Dad and Gympie who were first wave because of Bills Dads involvement in the war and Gympie being aware of the experiments and having more specific powers. Project apple gets shut down and Anya ends up as an orphan for unknown reasons.

I thought it would be good to list things to get a good overview. I mentioned 'Desmonds' in the title as they provide info about Donovan in their experience (I won't go over observations of them as individuals). Every piece of info is accompanied by the chapter number in brackets.

Donovan Desmond: (former) Prime Minister and succeeded + current chairman of the National Unity Party (political party, anti-West) during the war, resigned as Prime Minister afterwards.

"Grave threat to the truce between East and West." - WISE (1)

Visited Damian at Eden upon his request after imperial scholar meeting. Disregarded Loid's attempt of making amends (Anya's punch). Essentially shuts Damian down due his complaints regarding being punched. "Our children may share our blood, but they aren't us. They're essentially strangers. It is impossible to understand strangers. In the end.. people will never truly be sympathetic with each other." (38)

Demetrius has (close to) no contact with him. In the past they had a close relationship, Donovan barely left his side, used to watch him study. - according to Damian who heard stories. (93)

Student at Eden during war, Henderson was teaching. "We will never be free of war ... Human beings are simply liars ... So long as that doubt persisted, history would be doomed to repeat itself ...we can never know the true intentions of others ... and we are hiding our true intentions ... I desire peace as much as anyone ... rather with dialogue instead of weapons ... warring like this is the best we humans are capable of ... I can't imagine an end to war." (99)

Made a rare visit home and asked staff to prepare a family dinner. ~long silent dinner~ "This has been a most worthwhile evening." (106)

Donovan hasn't done anything to Melinda (physical abusement). He has become a completely different man shortly after Damian was born. He began to push away everyone around him and barely spoke to anyone at all, including his wife. (110)

Fell ill and collapsed, he seemed like a different person afterwards - reclusive and foul tempered. (121)

Ordered Melinda not to meet with the assembly member she planned to see without her telling about her work plans of the day. (121)

Acquainted with prof Authen - he was meeting with various scholars. Conversations regarding ways to treat neuroses of soldiers, development new medicines, etc. Mention of former director (Surjay) of Loid's hospital.* (122)

Donovan and Authen haven't met again once since he resigned as Prime Minister. - according to Authen. Can potentially be debunked due last page: "Does Desmond know about this?! Could the plan still be underway?!" (122)

Has been visiting the hospital a lot. During his recent visit he headed to the neurosurgery section, visiting a VIP patient (former Prime Minister Chapman) who's asleep. (138)

Owes Chapman "a great debt". Is here to say his goodbyes - according to *former hospital director Surjay. (138)

"There's something so frustrating about not being able to understand others' thoughts. ... This man (Surjay)... does he still... toward me? Is there really no ulterior motive in... calling... here? Idk... but... maybe it doesn't matter." - Donovan (139-2)

Donovan used to spend time with Demetrius unlike with Damian. He used to console Demetrius when he cried, as well as showing empathy and a genuine smile. (141)

While this is about Donovan, I'll be mentioning some things about Chapman too since it's in strong relation to him (138-139):

'The one who started the war' gained public reputation.

Brink of death, family hasn't visited. - according to Surjay.

(Also, I'm pretty much joining the theory that he swapped brains with Chapman. So, the mind in the body of Chapman, who lies in the hospital, is the real Donovan.)

Guys like seriously. Loid told anya to tell the world that he is her biological father. And he always trusted anya with it ..he knew that that she said won't tell yor , yuri or anyone in school . Same with eden college entrance exam . He told her to memorize answers . Seriously . Is it just me ?

Twiyor and YuriChloe are my favorites, but I think they’re all cute in their own way. It still makes me quite sad that Henry and Martha didn’t end up together.

I’ve rewatched Spy x Family Season 1 & 2 multiple times. It’s wholesome and sweet at its core, while the spy action stuff is just the cover. I have only seen season 3 once a while ago and recently started watching it and…. It feels way different than the previous seasons. Not just in the fact that it is darker (which I don’t mind), there just isn’t as much wholesome moments, either. Heck, the bus arc barely features Loid and Yor together at all, and that is for many episodes. Maybe just a weak group of chapters, but it was the most in-depth and dark we got this far, so that can’t just be it. I also noticed that the animation was different too. Could not put my finger on what was different about it, I could just tell. The Loid backstory arc was the highlight for me.
Still a good season, just not fantastic like the previous two. I just wanted more “FAMILY” in Spy x Family, that’s all.

Any thoughts? What changes did you notice? Do you think Season 4 (if we get it) will improve or will it decline? Goodness, I hope it doesn’t decline. Just love this show way too much.

Btw, I think season 3 needed more wholesome filler episodes, idk. I personally like those.

This chapter hints that Gympy could also be a test subject in Project Apple. So that means we have been introduced to 4 test subjects of the project so far: Anya, Bond, Donovan, and now Gympie. And all are running free or living a free life.

Why was this done to the test subjects, why were they freed? Wasn’t it wiser to just neutralize or "unalive" them after the war ended because there would be an obvious risk of compromising the secrecy or confidentiality of a secret project of that kind?

So I'm curious as to what exactly happened to Project Apple after the war ended. Could it be that the test subjects were freed after an outer intervention, possibly from the enemy state? What are your theories on that?

So I'm thinking that after this, Yor and Gympie break into an apple facility,

only to find that someone else has already broken into it..

There are quite a few similarities between Hemlock and Twilight that I find interesting.

- Obsession with an overarching goal: Twilight is driven by his desire to maintain peace between East and West, while Hemlock is driven by his mission to purge nations of traitors. Both place their respective ideals above their personal lives, allowing their missions to define their identities.

- Becoming the best at their respective professions, regardless of the personal cost: Twilight suppresses his emotions and buries his sense of self to become the best spy he can be. Hemlock, on the other hand, physically distances himself from others, seemingly believing that isolation is necessary to become the best assassin he can be. Both are willing to sacrifice their personal happiness in pursuit of professional perfection.

- Viewing emotional attachments as weaknesses: Both struggle with the idea that personal relationships might compromise their effectiveness. In Hemlock's case, this belief has given rise to his theory of isolation, leading him to deliberately distance himself from others. Twilight similarly approaches emotions and attachments as potential liabilities, although his experiences increasingly challenge that assumption.

- Gaslighting themselves to preserve their professional identities: Perhaps the most interesting similarity is how both rationalize their actions whenever their behaviour contradicts the identities they have constructed for themselves. Twilight repeatedly gaslights himself whenever he does something for Anya or Yor, insisting that his actions are merely necessary for Operation Strix or the Forger family's cover. Hemlock does something similar with Gympie, rationalizing his concern for her and the things he does for her as being related to his mission, his responsibilities, or his professional identity rather than acknowledging the personal attachment behind them. When their emotions or personal attachments interfere with their missions, they attempt to explain away those contradictions rather than fully confront what they reveal about their inner selves.

However, I think the most significant difference between them lies in their emotional and analytical intelligence.

Twilight is highly intelligent in both respects. He can analyse situations rationally, read other people, and understand their emotional states, even when he struggles to acknowledge his own. His ability to empathize with others is precisely what makes his self-deception so interesting: he can recognize the emotional complexity of other people while remaining remarkably resistant to the implications of his own feelings.

Hemlock, by contrast, seems much more limited in his emotional understanding. His isolation theory suggests that he has mistaken emotional detachment for emotional strength, treating human connection as a liability rather than recognizing its potential value. Where Twilight's worldview is increasingly challenged by his experiences with the Forger family, Hemlock appears more committed to preserving his existing beliefs.

Ultimately, both characters try to subordinate their humanity to their professional identities, but Twilight possesses the emotional intelligence to question that approach, even if he isn't fully conscious of doing so. Hemlock, on the other hand, seems far more trapped by his own ideology.

That contrast makes them particularly interesting to compare: both are defined by their missions, but Twilight's capacity for empathy gives him a path toward change that Hemlock may be unwilling—or unable—to take.

Endo has a habit of dressing the characters in new outfits, what if there was a fashion show arc?

There could be designers featured at the academy, (something about looking for their next model for their ‘back to school’ catalogue or something) having the kids showing off for the catalogue. They could get Yor and Loid going undercover for some covert mission or another and they get to dress up.

I really liked the Forgers' ski vacation, but this dance party was truly a 10/10!

The challenges at the beginning were fun, but that quiz was so hilarious. I thought it was such a nice touch when Anya answered all the personal questions, while the other girls knew things like how many companies the Desmonds own.

The best part was when Damian realized how close the Forgers are, because his dad is his favorite person.
