Im having a hard time choosing a team for the upcoming splatfest, and want to avoid mirror matches. but I kinda also want Snails for my SR/Story mode gear. and Idk if you can use coins on some catalog gear either. Does anyone know how popular each team is yet, or do I need to wait and see?

I am currently at A rank and slowly climbing and what I found is that I have 3-4 weapons in my rotations that just work well in any of the gamemodes and I feel like I do not need that much skill to climb higher, basically zero resistance:
jet squelcher , bloblobber, hydra splatling and splattershot pro.

I just keep swaping them depending on the game mode and in most of the games I am doing crazy good without any effort.

I tried snipers and I quickly realized: high skill needed with zero reward as I can get way more kills and way more pressure to objectives with bloblobber so I do not even bother with snipers as it provides value only if you hit.

I'm currently level 19... I still have the og locker. HOW do I get a bigger one? Most videos online I've seen say this happens at level 15.

I’ve just watched the new Splatfest Splatoween announcement and at the end they said the player could get free costumes via the Nintendo Switch News app. I thought at first it was the regular Nintendo Switch Online App but couldn’t find anything then i searched online and found that there is a nintendo calendar/ news app. So I thought this must be it - but no, I couldn’t find any costumes or even anything splatoon related on there either.. ._.
So my question is; does anyone know how to get these costumes? I’ve seen players online wearing them so they must exist :b

The mk II could use sprinkler tho as a sub for cheesy stalls and distraction

Why do players do this?

They ignore the flyfish with the missles, stingers, and then we all eventually get over run

I hate when I go in to kill Fishsticks, and then someone follows me up the spire AFTER I am done to "help" me collect the eggs. LIKE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND DO SOMETHING.

They also shoot at Maws with their main weapons. They dont use the cannons when they have snipers and theres all big fish.

Also, hit the missle back at the Rainmaker. Stop waiting for it to turn over and then letting us get covered in rain. Lure it towards the ocean if thats the case.

so I have been wanting to get into the competitive side of Splatoon for a long time but never really liked sendouQ's system. Here is the full list of things I don't like about it:

1. Having a team is close to necessary: ill get to why in the next one but as someone who can't get to A for the life of me, finding a team is practically impossible
2. If you don't have a team be prepared to spend several hours just forming yours: the matchmaking system of requests is a bit bad in my opinion, you have to invite whoever fits your comp and I have no idea how to make a good comp and the videos I watch assume I know what weapons go with what (I don't really)

I downloaded Splatoon 2 years ago.. I played a lot, but not often..

It was fun, but I sucked at it and didn't attempt to practice at all, so it kinda was shelved.

Buy a S2 for Pokopia and see the advert for SRaiders.. so because of that..

I start up Splatoon2 again.. play a lot but its quiet. Figured I should be at least up to date with the game, so I purchased S3. Fun ever since.. and im still playing SR.. But I keep coming back to S3!!

There is so much more to Splatoon than you would think. I didn't know.

What a spectacular game that has been there the entire time, but now, here is a person just realizing.

In all the classes below S, everyone is like, boyahing when everyone launches to start the game, and the atmosphere is just so much more light-hearted. But the second you get into an S-rank game, the atmosphere feels so much more serious. No one, or rarely anyone is boyahing when everyone launches, and everyone is playing to win.

Amongst the numerous additions and improvements, tweaks and fixes I hope for SP4, adding pants, shorts, skirts and such as separate items sold in a shop with unique boosts just as any other clothing item is possibly the most... straightforward (?) and simple one.

That's it, that's the post, it's a simple as that but apparently it has to be said a decade into the game '-'

I got this game about 3 weeks ago. I really like this game, but would love to know what it’s like running with a group or crew… I play daily and typically main aero or splatter shot. 21+

i currently have s3 and am having a lot of fun, i play ranked mode and salmon run. im debating between getting side order dlc or raiders (have to pick one, both isn't within my budget). im leaning more towards side order because i've heard that it has roguelite aspects which is one of my favourite game genres, but i've also heard that raiders is basically salmon run but as its own game, which is also appealing to me. could i get some insight? would be helpful especially from people who have both of them. thanks!

I’m a noob (been playing for one month) and just recently I was playing a game and I noticed there were instances where I’d do no damage.

Like I’d flank behind someone, dump my entire canister of paint into their backside and their healthbar wouldn’t budge, and they’d kill me.

Now at the time my wifi connection was a little unstable, could it be cause of that or are they hacking?

I don’t have a clip of it but if it happens again I’ll try to clip it.
