Monache Meadows in December.

I am thinking about getting a trip in up 395 from LA to Monache Meadows.

Doing my research now, I just want cooler temperatures, even if around 30 degrees.

Mid to late November is a good time to go. Are you planning a weekend thing? Also advisable to go in a group of two or more rigs just in case.

Hit Monache a few years back over Thanksgiving. Make sure you are checking temps correctly. Got down to below 20 degrees overnight. Still had a blast

They may close it after this weekend. It's supposed to rain for the next 2-3 days and it's going to get cold. If you're going to head up there this weekend, I'd call the ranger station and make sure it's open, or plan an alternate.
