bought my first slipknot mask and i fear it’s sparking an addiction ( the look will be improved with face paint)

(This was originally my comment on another post, but originally originally was a post I had written up but never posted. So now I'm posting it. Here comes the pain... )

I think there is so much more to all the Slipknot firings than meets the eye and I don't think they will ever reveal too much until later on down the track or after they break up.

I think there are definitely legal reasons they can't, but also out of respect for those members. I know the whole convo around it is that it's the Corey and Clown show, and that they have no respect for anyone and are sullying the Slipknot name. But as fans, we're not entitled to know. They don't have to tell us shit.

People need to stop thinking they have some sort ownership of things and they are owed answers. Just because something is a public entity does not mean everything around it has to be public.

People do not know the whole story yet assume they do or that their opinion is going to matter. That's simply not the case. If you're someone who says "I've been here from the start, I'm owed an explanation", as was the theme of an open letter I saw recently to Slipknot, that is absolutely not how it works, despite what people think and expect.

If people do not like them now and think they have become some corporate entity etc etc, just withdraw your support. Kickin and screaming all day long about this and that isn't going to do anything. Would I like an explanation about things ? Yes, definitely. But it's not up to me or any other fan to demand anything. Not just from Slipknot but from any band, creator etc.

I've been playing guitar for 3 years now, and i still can't figure out how to play the intro with the proper effects, can anyone help me?

It took me by surprise how good it was, wish there was more.

What were your thoughts on the project.

I'm 15 and wondering how old other fans of slipknot are.

Mine personally has to be AHIG. I absolutely LOVE Jim's mask, so thats a big part for me since hes my fav member. I also love Corey's mask and Clown's mask. Obviously Joey's best mask cycle too. Wbu? Whats ur fav era looking at masks?

First of 9 designs, we start with Sid, one of the members with the strongest stage presence and the most prone to crazy antics. He'll be sorely missed at the shows. What do you think of this poster? (credits to me, the designer wuuuu)

Personally, my favorite are Sarcastrophe, Lech, XIX, and The Devil In I.

Hey everyone, this is Nate from Discog. Discourse! We just released an episode ranking and reviewing every Slipknot album. Slipknot was pivotal in shaping my taste in music, so it was really fun to go through all of their albums in depth for this episode.

Here's how my list came out:

1. Slipknot
2. Iowa
3. Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses
4. .5: The Gray Chapter
5. All Hope Is Gone
6. We Are Not Your Kind
7. The End, So Far

If you want to see everyone's lists and hear our full discussions on each album, you can listen to the episode on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/UcE87XO05q8

Would love to see how y'all rank their albums!

i only started listening to slipknot recently, so i have no previous experences with a member leaving... i'll most likeally be going to my first show next year here in brazil, and im kinda worried about the lack of news reguarding a new DJ, especially with them making promo images with only 8 members (i believe) for the first time

and with arsenal, one thing i noticed is that they used a LOT of scratching... maybe this could be to tease someone joining? i felt like along with eloy's drums it felt really predominant through the song...

13 -> 53 - 18 - 16 / 9 - 92 - 7 - 68 - 13

(Hint it's not heretic anthem, 742617000027 or this cold black)

I’m going to the slipknot wembley concert next year but I have no one to go with, no mutuals absolutely no one. I’m going to be in rear standing. I dont want to feel alone preferably want to be with people 18 plus. anyone would like to help a girl out 😭😭

Just bringing this up as i noticed the middle finger emoji next to Slipknot in the Bio and all his posts have been wiped out pretty much

What's your favorite facial covering of the one of the members of the bond.

How often does a member randomly just wear a different version of their mask during a tour? Was just curious because I just watched a video on YouTube where Corey was wearing the primary AHIG mask but Clown was wearing the old ST mask. How often does this happen? I feel like I would want to switch it up if I was them depending on the vibe that day.

God watching the band at that time was just so painful that i was expecting them to split up after the tour ends
