Until I saw this guy… and now I need a name. Bowie is in the #1 spot… what would you name him?

Pearl is eight years old today, so we did her annual princess photoshoot last Friday. I was able to get solo shots of Lil Baby, and Pearl, but as you can see towards the end Peezy started acting out lol. Don’t worry I gave them tons of treats while taking these pictures haha, he just wanted to play.😂The photos of them in the kitchen are them waiting on their special meal haha. Taking photos of the plates is impossible with three spoiled and hungry Shih Tzus.😂
Our photogenic girl Lil baby is still up for adoption at http://www.lakehavenrescue.org/
When it asks what dog you are interested in type Fern.💕

Our pup (5 year old adopted shih tzu) stays with my in-laws for a couple nights every 6 weeks or so. The longest she's stayed with them was for 3 weeks straight last May. They used to have a shih tzu, and they're great with dogs in general.
It seems like more often than not, on night 1 or night 2, she'll begin to have the runs and need to go out 1-2 / night to use the bathroom. So, my in-laws ultimately return her home early, and then for up to 1 week her stomach is ultra sensitive and then usually settles down.
Is it just nervous doing this to her - i.e. the change of location / routine?
We want them to be able to dog sit her, and feel like if we gave them the dog once a month for 5 nights or so she would get used to being there, but we're caught in this loop of her having tummy issues on night 1 or 2 and then needing to be returned back to us.
Thoughts? This happen to anyone else?

We got this gorgeous boy yesterday! My son named him Joe at first but now says his name is Bear. I'm wondering which yall think is better?
This is the picture the lady I got him from sent me. It's hard to take a good picture of him since he looks like a shadow from most angles.

Because of him. Insted of watching the Brewers hopefully win their first world series. On my big TV with surround sound in my big comfy chair. Where he could be laying on my lap relaxing. He had to go to bed. Which requires me to be in bed. Hes now laying on the foot of my bed sleeping. While I watch the game on my phone, and with ear buds in.

Lunas favorite pet store had a backdrop up for Halloween so we went over for a picture! She growled like a tiger putting it on too 😂

Baby Leah is 6 going on 7 & all she does is sleep ALL day & only eats once a day! She’s only eats a very small portion bc she’s also very picky. Does anyone else’s Shihtzu goes through this? I’m worried about her & the vets visits are getting too expensive just in case I’m being too dramatic about it. If it’s not common then we are def going for a visit asap!!!

Liam’s morning ritual now includes eating mint after his walk. He can’t get enough of the stuff. The poor plant has been picked bare. I don’t know what we will do once winter comes.

Miss thing didn’t want to get out of bed today so she decided to sleep in. It looks like she’s having a terrible time, snoozing and being swaddled in her sloth blankie 😂

My partner and I adopted this guy over the weekend and he is pretty much perfect.
Question for those more knowledgeable about Shih Tzus, does yours make a rumbling noise that almost sounds like a cross between a growl and a cat purr?

Picked up this dog skeleton at dollar city whilst in Colombia. Since Charlie was at my parents we had him in his usual spot watching people. He's become very suspicious of the new dog now he's back.

We tore a nail off running and hit an artery. Luckily we called the vet. He’s a little stubby but in good spirits.

Think it was 1 or 2 weeks ago when Toffee tried initiating play but Ty was still cautious about him. And they’ve never played in between until today. Wife was like OMG LOOK!! TYLER AND TOFFEE PLAYING TOGETHER!!!
(told her to take a video as my view is blocked while they went more and more towards the side, my wife was saying “hey i can’t capture them anymore” and i immediately went don’t worry i’m ready 😂 therefore the transition as i was on the other side) think this is why my 1TB is filled…

Hello! We are currently a pet free house looking to get a shihtzu. A friend has pups and we’ve been offered first pick from the 4 girls (the litter was only 4). I’ve had a small dog before and he passed 6 years ago. I work from home and so does my spouse.
Tell me all the things I need to know before I commit! Particularly interested in grooming options and requirements. I see a variety of cuts and I’m interested in the lowest maintenance versions or how often you’re grooming.
Thanks in advance!
