Hey, folks!

I'm looking for a friendly, close-knit group of people who play SCUM, or perhaps some like-minded people who'd be interested in starting one together!

I'm not just looking for a squad to play with — I'm looking for a group of friends.

I'd love to be part of a community where people genuinely enjoy each other's company, regularly chat, joke around, share memes, hang out in voice chat and, of course, play SCUM together!

I love both the game and the social side of gaming, and I'd really like to bring those two things together. It would be lovely to have a group where we share our adventures, talk about the game, occasionally do things outside of SCUM and generally enjoy spending time together.

Of course, I know friendships can't be forced and take time to develop. But I also believe they need people who are genuinely interested in getting to know each other. So I'm hoping to find either an existing group of friends who'd welcome someone new or people who are looking for the same sense of community and connection.

A little about me and my playstyle:

• PvE only. I'm not interested in PvP.
• Casual gameplay. I'm not a fan of hardcore settings. I play to relax, unwind and enjoy myself rather than constantly struggle to survive.
• Real life comes first. I have a busy schedule, so I can't play every day or commit to a fixed number of hours. I'd love to find a laid-back group where everyone can join in whenever they have time, without feeling pressured to be constantly active. But even when I can't play, I'd still love to hang out in Discord, chat and stay involved in the community.
• Time zone: UTC+4. I'm sometimes available on weekdays from 09:00–11:00 UTC or 19:00–20:00 UTC. On weekends, I'm more flexible and can usually play between 09:00 and 17:00 UTC. So I imagine European players would be the best fit!
• My ideal playstyle: I love having my own little house, garden and car. I'd much rather live in a neighbourhood where everyone has their own place than in one big shared base. That said, I absolutely enjoy helping each other out, sharing resources and working on community projects together! I've always loved the idea of building a little village in SCUM, where everyone has their own home and possessions, but we still help each other out, go on adventures together and feel like neighbours. I'd also love to have a bit of a social life in the game itself — hanging out around a campfire, visiting each other's houses, chatting and just enjoying each other's company without necessarily having anything to do.

I also have a little village project in mind, and four other people have already expressed interest in joining! We're still at the very beginning, though, so it's not an established group of friends — we're hoping to get to know each other and build something together. If that sounds like your kind of thing, you'd be very welcome to join us! But there's absolutely no pressure to join this particular project. I'm just as happy to start a new group from scratch or join an existing one. What matters most to me is finding the right people!

Ultimately, I'm looking for more than just people to team up with occasionally. I'd love to find a little community that feels like a place to belong — somewhere we can share our passion for SCUM, have fun together and hopefully become genuine friends along the way.

So whether you're already part of a friendly group or you're just one person looking for the same thing, feel free to message me! I'd love to hear from you.

Howdy. Just got thr game and played a sandbox match for a few hours to learn the basics. Wanted to find a pvp server to get into but all the official servers are pretty much empty. Is that normal? Can anyone suggest any populated pvp servers with lowish ping for us west? If not then active pve server?

Thanks!

😈 ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!

An isolated island. A heavily protected cargo. One objective: bring the supplies home.

A NEW OPERATION HAS ARRIVED AT HEAVEN
Off the southern coast of Z3, a special cargo awaits those willing to make the crossing. Getting there is only the beginning — the area is heavily protected, and you may not be the only survivors heading for the island.

YOUR APPROACH. YOUR RISK.
Go alone or bring your squad. Plan your route, prepare for resistance and secure the cargo. There is no elimination quota — your objective is to recover the supplies and make it back alive.

OPEN TO EVERYONE
No registration. No reserved places. Solo players and squads are welcome.

KNOW YOUR DESTINATION
Head to the island marked in red on the attached map, south of Z3. Prepare for the crossing — and make sure you have a way back.

EVERY TWO HOURS
Special Drops are scheduled every 2 hours while players are online, subject to event availability. Follow the cargo timer in game and leave before it expires.

The island is waiting. Will you come back with the cargo?

Not saying I'm done. As I still enjoy the game. But it is pretty difficult to enjoy playing with a lack of players. Sure there are a handful of servers with a small player base, but none of the servers have settings I enjoy. I'm just saddened I guess. Can't really blame the players that have left, but maybe I'll see ya out there.

This isn't a post looking for a group. Been there, done that. Just a post sharing my sadness for the dying player base. It shouldn't be in this sub. However u/StabbyMcStomp killed my post and insisted that it belongs over here.

Server Name: [DownBad] SCUM Hardcore Survival

Server IP: 142.56.22.146:7779

Discord: https://discord.gg/bR3HmWBcAx

SCUM has the foundation for the best survival mechanics in the genre, and you'll probably never see them because on 99% of servers, none of it matters. Loot is everywhere, you're geared in 20 minutes... where's the survival? SCUM has the ability to be a survival game but it's over-tuned by default, then inflated even further by community server settings. I didn't just lower loot odds and crank puppet damage. I dissected what the game actually has to offer and balanced around it, but I didn't stop there. Custom built plugins tighten progression and throw new obstacles in your path making it harder to "cheese" the survival aspect.

That's what [DownBad] is. Every system in the game pulled apart and rebuilt to put those hidden survival mechanics front and center. A full food and spawn-table rework. Weapon, clothing, and medical progression that actually means something. Repurposed traders, and a complete end-game redesign. Nothing here is default. This is SCUM the way it was meant to be played.

Name of server - The Proving Grounds - IP: 67.9.180.8:7779 - Discord Link: https://discord.gg/dMEB2CHcR

This is a US based server with 80 slots, 2.5x loot, 2x puppets, Custom loot system, no mech Tuesdays, 2XP Wednesday and Thursdays, Weekend Raiding, 4hr resets, 4 player squads, bot shop, lottery system, taxi, bounties, 400 element building, world events and a custom map with PvP and PvE zones. This is a new server and new player friendly. This is also a modded server with many QOL mods, check out my discord to find out more.

📍 Five locations: B4 · A2 · D3 · D2 · Z1
The map marks approximate search locations. Being anywhere in the sector is not enough — find and enter the event area.

⚔️ How it works
• An in-game warning announces the outbreak. Spawning begins after 10 seconds, in batches.
• Defeat 50 puppets inside the event area within 30 minutes. This is a shared objective for everyone participating.
• Stay in the area: if everyone leaves for 3 minutes, the event can end without a reward.

🎒 Survive and claim your reward
Victory grants one shared Camo Hiking Backpack filled with supplies, placed beside a surviving contributor. Share the loot! You have a 10-minute loot window.

⏳ Check availability
Only one event can run at a time across all five locations. After cleanup, all locations enter a shared 30-minute cooldown. Entering another location does not bypass it.

Gather your squad. Find the outbreak. Survive together.

I’ve been building a browser-based lockpicking trainer for SCUM and I’m looking for players to test it.

It’s meant to help practice the basic feel of:

• finding the sweet spot
• feathering tension
• adjusting the pick by small amounts
• dealing with resistance and durability

It has Simple, Medium and Advanced presets. We recently made Medium and Advanced much stricter after testers said Advanced was too easy.

You can use it without an account. Discord login is only needed if you want to save scores and appear on the leaderboard.

Link:
player.heaven-pve.com/lockpick

I’d really like feedback from experienced lockpickers:

• Is the Advanced mode challenging enough?
• Does the partial rotation when you’re close to the sweet spot feel believable?
• Does anything feel noticeably different from SCUM?

It’s still a BETA, so the physics and difficulty may continue to change based on feedback.

Unofficial community project, not affiliated with the SCUM developers.

Looking for a RolePlay Server but cant seam to find one? Why? They use "RP" in the name but are not really Roleplay? They have too many staff ego issues? Can't RolePlay because of highly increased loot tables? Back in 2018, we played on a server called SCUMRP. The rules were long, but the RP was awesome. The server stayed full, and the good times rolled. SCUMRP is where I actually learned how to RP, and where I met the friends I still play with today. We are trying to replicate that experience here at SurvivalRP for others!
