This Halloween, we're taking a trip back to the Nintendo Entertainment System to revisit one of gaming's most legendary horror franchises: the original Castlevania trilogy!

Join us as we explore the haunted halls of Castlevania (1986), unravel the mysteries of Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, and battle the forces of darkness in Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. From flying Medusa Heads and bone-throwing skeletons to Dracula himself, these NES classics helped define horror gaming and challenged players with some of the toughest action-platforming ever created.

Hey everyone, I wanted to introduce you Clásicos Básicos, a Spanish retro gaming community. They have recently started publishing longer retrospectives on our YouTube channel, CLABA TV, and wanted to share one here.

This episode looks back at the original Diablo: its development, the move to real-time combat, the randomized dungeons and loot, and how the lighting and sound contribute to its atmosphere.
