My micro reef suddenly got upset for some reason. Yesterday my GSP completely retracted and my hammer coral is pulled in and not “poofy” anymore.

Any clues to make these guys happy? Salinity is stable.. water changes every week to keep levels good. CUC, Crabs shrimp and goby seem happy.. (bonus goby photo for fun)

Also I cannot figure out what these little white dots are everywhere in my filter and around the tank

Levels for: ammonia, phosphates, nitrates, calcium, alkalinity?

Wellllll… no idea. I just change the water weekly, feed sparingly and low bioload. They were happy till a day or two ago

White dots are probably spirobid worms. Nothing to worry about.

I guarantee at least your pH and alkalinity are low. Make sure you get the temperature as well.

Corals can do that from time to time, I wouldn’t panic. Do you have nerite snails? If so, they tend to leave white eggs on the glass

I don’t think I do. At least not intentionally lol
