Redbull did a experimental yet secret technical upgrade on Max Verstappen’s car during the Austin GP.

Mechanics introduced a custom-developed Brembo front brake discs. The redesigned components feature a modified braking surface and a new hole pattern engineered specifically to handle Max’s aggressive, late-braking style.

The primary goal? Improve braking consistency, mitigate overheating issues, and gather essential data to aid development moving forward into upcoming seasons.

Following successful initial testing in Austin, the team plans to continue evaluating these custom brake discs and might introduce again in the Mexican GP.
