Grandchild comments not loading

Running current RES on Macbook Pro Tahoe V26.6.2. I have UBlock Origin Light for Chrome. I have the RES setting where all child comments are hidden in every thread. Starting today, I can click 'show n child comments, and they will load, but if I click 'show n child comments' on one of those child comments (AKA a grandchild comment), I get an infinite red "loading..." cue like this.

  • RES Version: 5.24.11
  • Browser: Chrome
  • Browser Version: 155
  • Cookies Enabled: true
  • Reddit beta: false

It is an issue that has to do with Reddit/old.reddit itself, not RES.

Workaround: change the url from reddit.com to old.reddit.com

Admins very recently said they fixed it - try checking now?

F12 tools yields a 403 Forbidden error in the console for me whenever I try and click those links.
