Qsys level 2 help
Dear all,
I am stuck at a point in level 2 training, it is three divisible room scenarios and a toggle button in uci to control respective room display but in combined mode ( using room combiner button to open wall 1 and wall 2) that same button would be able to control all display that are in combined mode.

So what’s the question? What have you tried so far?

Question is to control respective display from uci button in every scenario of combination mode. Hi I tried logical blocks, and , or , nor gates more than 22 blocks I connected with flip flops to save the state but still what I facing is when the display are in same state it works but either of the display is on / off then combining it is creating a loop. Display keeps on off on off

What have you tried so far?
No one should be babying you through it.

I've been stuck on this one too. It seems so simple but the fact we cant use Lua makes it really difficult. Trying to wrap my head around how I can use the logic elements to achieve the same effect but its so convoluted lol.
I was playing around with all sorts of things. The only thing I've come up with that i think has a chance of working is to have multiple identical buttons for each room state and use the room combiner logic to toggle each one in and out of visibility. But I haven't done it yet as i feel there has to be a more simplified way of solving this problem.
I'd be interested to hear what you have tried so far!

This took me a really long time as well but I’m going to give you one hint and I’m sure you’ve tried different block combinations. Look at your buttons, try different buttons.

Hi thanks bro I am using individual flipflop for uci and more than 20 logic blocks combinations

This was the hardest part for me. I'll say you can def accomplish this with just the logic blocks so think creatively and good luck!

In fact if it’s what I think it is, doing this particular task in only logic blocks was significantly more difficult than doing it in Lua, but it turned out to be a really good exercise.
Sometimes artificial constraints can be great learning exercises.

So what ain’t working? If it’s combining rooms just use a combination of “and logic blocks” and routers to trigger when certain conditions are met. When they are met, either trigger a save state or the combination of devices/ins/outs you need.
FWIW I took a different approach to mine, and over complicated it…got stuck on it a few times cos I couldn’t understand what it was the instructor was eluding to…but got there!

This was the trickiest part of the exam for me. You just need to get creative with the logical components. Keep thinking through and trying things.

Ok, I’m going to say something totally crazy right now, but hear me out.
Maybe - just maybe - you should work this out for yourself, what with it being a programming certification and all.
Forgive me, but I feel like the whole point of an exam is to test your ability to do a thing, to solve a problem yourself - not your ability to just ask the internet for the answers.
