I never really understood how so many punk artists/band could afford expensive equipment, Like the majority of punk bands i listen to grew up dirt poor almost to the point where they were homeless. But yet they be play a fucking rickenbacker with mesa boogie amp at their first gigs or tama drum kit. Sure the prices were a little different back then but still a good guitar would’ve cost at least 600 bucks.

If you’re familiar (or even if you’re not) with the OFFSPRING, then you’ll groove on their latest. Has all the power of the Ignition LP, which was in my top 10 albums of *93. I intently studied the lyrics only to notice a pattern emerging: “there’s no future, we’re all living under the gun, in a fucked up world, which we created, even if we think we didn’t..”. Speaking of firearms, about 1/3 of the songs are about, related to, or a least mention: guns. The production is in-fucking-credible and the power of the raw yet polished, strong melodic hardcore is bound to be a classic. Listen to loud, (SB)
