While he cops alot of flack, just wouldn't be Prison Break without him!

"I only speak English whiteboy" 🤭

He is an idiot.

Lied to his wife where he was, instead of telling the truth, that he was in PRISON for 8 years! What was his plan? Lie for whole 8 years? How? Why exactly he didn't tell his wife the truth I don't understand.🤷‍♀️

When they escaped, his plan was to go back to his family, to his home town. That's exactly where police would be waiting for him first. 🤦‍♀️

How he was planning to be fugitive without money when his daughter needs medication (kidney disease since she was born ) Or did he just forgot about it? What about her school? He should have thought about all of this and prepare it, while they was still digging, but he didn't.

Since his family would need fake IDs and leave town (state), possibly country, he would have to tell them the truth anyway. Actually they will find out from a police first. So it was pointless to keep the lie.

Because of him his wife was sent to jail (then prison) and what did he do? Was he just planning to be fugitive with his daughter alone? While his wife was in prison? He endangered his wife and daughter, because he is total idiot.

He is useless to the first break out, but as a character I think C-Note is a good add-on.

He does have good qualities, he is a good person. He isn't afraid to stand up against wrongdoing. Also he had some funny lines.

I’m thinking he thought if he got some of Utah money he would disappear is my guess.
He wasn’t much for planning and he always asked what’s the plan.

Seemed like a decent guy though. Just didn’t make the best decisions

He was never informed of the utah money. Only when they were about to cross the phone line out of fox river did he know about it.

That's not entirely true. When they needed to cut one person he said to sure they need to make a move alone because they are getting cut. As John had the jet, t bag made sure he wasn't cut, Linc was his brother and the old guy has money.

u/afanoflafear 3d ago

Good points, that being said he wasn't the best written character?

2

u/BunnyBoo2002 3d ago

I forgot about him lying to his family ☠️

u/farmerofstrawberries 4d ago

Complains too much

I like the actor so in the beginning I liked the character as well but the more I knew about him, the more I watched what he was doing, the more I thought he was an absolute moron that got incredibly lucky in the end landing the deal. Lying to his family, then escaping the prison as if that would somehow help in the situation, not counting in his daughter needs, trying to rile up Sucre against Micheal, he was just digging himself and the family deeper and deeper. Realistically he should've ended up dead

u/Aware_Gap_3555 2d ago

yeah, he's almost like not a good dude, but not a debased dude like other criminals

u/Cautious-Fisherman-4 4d ago

Even though season 5 was hated, he was good in that season. I liked when he and Linc tag teamed the garage full of dudes

12

u/NozokiAlec 4d ago

Im glad things worked out for him, probably the best person of the 5 (besides maybe Michael)

10

u/Optimal-Fix-2997 4d ago

Sucre also good.

12

u/marwash 4d ago

he got on my nerves at first, always inserting himself in other people's business. He eventually became one of my favorite characters after his backstory is revealed and we find out he's the only innocent person i the group.

u/Primary_Ring6347 4d ago

Liked him season 1. Season 2 he was an idiot and actually thought he was free to live happily ever after with family. Selfish prick also

10

u/Significant_Life7700 4d ago

he get on my nerves sometimes but he cool guy just trying do right by his family

5

u/cMk_ 3d ago

Good actor but terrible character.

1

u/Aware_Gap_3555 2d ago

fact. Actually almost useless. if you remove if (besides pugnac scene) the plot does not even change. Hell the whole script is written such that he forces himself into the story lol

3

u/Emergency-Sea5201 4d ago

If he called his wife 3 days before the escape and told her to meet him in panama...

1

u/Malec555 3d ago

I don't think he knew anything about Panama plans. The most he knew what road outside of prison they gonna use. The plan was they gonna escape immediate chase and then everyone fend for themselves.

Michael would never take him to Panama or even Mexico via Abruzzi plane.

He should have make his own plans, cuz he had buddies that could help him.

Disliked how nosy C-note was during season 1 and 2, a lot of his problems came from not being able to keep his mouth shut and being in other people’s business but his character was redeemed in s5.

4

u/Far_Store_6739 4d ago

Eh.... seemed kinda useless to me

1

u/Aware_Gap_3555 2d ago

agreed, useless

2

u/Dbuk2020 4d ago

He reminds me of darwin

0

u/Altruistic_Intern_62 3d ago

He literally referred to himself as Darwin in the show.

1

u/Dbuk2020 2d ago

Oh wow what a coincidence

2

u/Ok-Band-52 3d ago

A damn rat

1

u/Altruistic_Intern_62 3d ago

Exactly. Everything he got in the show he got by either threatening to rat on someone, or actually ratting on them.

2

u/Forsaken_Hat2526 2d ago

I don't understand how it was possible for cnote to be liked 😂😂😂 dude was always "count me in or I'm telling"

2

u/Weary_Hunter569 2d ago

These fucking white writers man I swear. Nobody in the black community actually said "CNote"

1

u/Aware_Gap_3555 2d ago

LOL, he was just added cos of the 'we need a black dude in the main cast' checkbox that's it

2

u/Over_Inflation_2395 4d ago

i liked what he added to the storyline

0

u/Aware_Gap_3555 2d ago

you are over inflating

2

u/Over_Inflation_2395 2d ago

It's my opinion

1

u/FigureSubstantial970 4d ago

I didn’t mind him, he was alright. I was surprised to see he’s so disliked lol.

1

u/Razielism 4d ago

I love that he can shape shift into the Indian dude, totally didn't see that one coming!

1

u/Significant_guy0 4d ago

He’s cool and smart, but a yapper

1

u/thestreak82 3d ago

Big school learning huh? Well let me school you. Darwin wins inside these walls. Not Einstein, Darwin!

1

u/Mugiwara_Kaizoku_Nit 3d ago

He did good and became fbi Impressive

1

u/hodges20xx 3d ago

I enjoyed his character however season 2 he is a bit boring still great performance by the actor

1

u/CleanMouse4649 3d ago

hold on A’bruzzi

1

u/AMERICAisBACKOHYEA 3d ago

Annoyed th3 crap out of me. Entitled for absolutely no reason. Someone should have shanked him early on

1

u/Delicious_Rule_7324 3d ago

Hes a good actor. Was good in sons of anarchy too

1

u/Forsaken_Hat2526 2d ago

Honestly, most their reasons for being locked up not only don't go with the show it's also irrelevant. Tbag was a rapist but was probably the best character the whole series.

1

u/Ahiru77 3d ago

Really liked him.

But in season 5 he kinda feels off. Like it's not quite the same. Don't know why.

1

u/Ill_Job4633 3d ago

He expects everything handed to him without having to work for it, Another one that likes to take the easy way out. He puts himself before his family until he has no choice but to put his family first. A dumbass all around.

1

u/Its_ArmDay 3d ago

Annoying, only cared about his best interests.

1

u/Solid-Natural935 3d ago

Really hate it. Totally useless....

1

u/PeterKitsune 3d ago

Eu gosto mais desse ator no mentalista

1

u/Kind_Economics306 3d ago

Annoying af

1

u/rhandy_mas 2d ago

He caused a lot of problems, but I really liked his character.

1

u/whitewabbit97 2d ago

Not my favorite character, but one of the characters I rooted harder for, especially during the Season 1 flashbacks and the aftermath of the breakout

Was satisfied to see him survive the whole series.

1

u/Exact-Performance286 2d ago

I did until I didn’t

c-note was the only convict in fox river who realized he was trapped in an escalating writers' room disaster and actually had the common sense to cut a deal and walk away. while michael scofield was busy getting sent to panamanian black sites and collecting tattoos like pokemon cards, c-note took his full federal exoneration, grabbed his family, and vanished into a peaceful, suburban witness-protection sunset like a total genius.

1

u/Gamble0388 1d ago

Dude was a snitch the whole show

1

u/pruxey 4h ago

He was selfish, didnt bring anything to the escape, but wanted scofield and the rest to scrap all their plans for him

"Oswego is not to the east snowfield we should to go chicago to my wife"

1

u/Visible-Yam-297 4d ago

He gets a lot of hate on this sub but I thought he was good character and well-acted

2

u/Malec555 4d ago edited 4d ago

Well acted - agree. I just binge Prison Break and The Mentalist together and barely recognized him in Mentalist as a FBI agent.

Good character in terms that he is probably relatable to a lot of people of a certain background - also agree.

1

u/Visible-Yam-297 4d ago

I loved him in The Mentalist, completely different character and he nailed it

2

u/MeanPiccolo803 4d ago

Yeah I think as far as character and actor he was good. He just didn’t seem to plan things well. Michael was the one with the plan to get out disappear and all

2

u/Exciting-Mulberry305 3d ago

Great actor no doubt but idk he tried to show himself as some. Real street dude

1

u/Bright-Tourist312 4d ago

Didn't like him at all until season 5

0

u/Optimal-Fix-2997 4d ago

C note was cool. Yeah in the beginning he wasn't trying to be a team player but when he bought in he was good. He esp was good in season 4 and 5.

0

u/goatjugsoup 4d ago

Hes a dumbass... ive been lying to my family about where i lve been this whole time but im gonna join this prison break and be on national news...

If i put that aside then yeah hes cool... its just that was so dumb

0

u/Aware_Gap_3555 2d ago

unpopular opinion: I think he was only casted, as the only black character among the crew to check off the 'we need a black person in the main cast'. If you think about it, after giving Michael pugnac, he added absolutely ZERO to the plot, and if you just remove him, nothing would really change (the card game could be done by Westmore or fat guy too). He was just there to put pressure on Michael - but others were already doing this. And in S2, dude was genuinely useless - I even wondered what was the point of him being there.

1

u/Altruistic_Intern_62 3d ago

Couldn't stand him. And my girlfriend just wanted him to die anytime he was onscreen. LOL. The only reason he ever got in on anything in the show wasn't simply because he formed a friendship or meaningful bond with either of the brothers, it's that he just threatened to tattle on everyone unless they included him everytime. With the Fox River escape. With the money in Utah... Personally, I wanted him to bite it. And he still committed a crime. No matter what bullshit reason the Army had for discharging him. He still came out of the Army and knowingly committed a crime. He should've at least had to do his original sentence for the crime he actually did commit. He nearly ruined his wife and daughters lives all because he was selfish. The guy was such a clown. The only decent thing he did was save that girl in the diner from potentially being raped by that scumbag. Oh, and I know what Mahone asked him to do was fucked up, but he only got out of everything by tattling on Mahone too. And then he had the nerve to say to his wife when she asks how they're managing to walk away free and as a family, "Just know that your man handles his business". Whilst trying to sound all gangster and street. It's like, no clown. You got out of this by snitching... AGAIN. Little bitch ass *****. I'll let ya'll use your imagination for that last word. It can be whatever 5 letter word that you want it to be.
