- Prince can now do a dive roll animation by holding left alt then tapping space.
- The user is now able to access the debug fly mode by holding left alt then tapping left ctrl.

The dive roll is taken directly from the fight with Klompa right after the first QTE. This was achieved through OpenJade made by Dekamaru by decompiling the Prince's scripted scenes and reverse engineering the animation format such that the dive roll was cut out of that entire animation, which was later built as a standalone move. The debug fly mode was left behind in the game's scripts all this time so I re-enabled it.

PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SHADOWS OF FATE

A Fan-Made Story Inspired by Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and The Two Thrones

The night Babylon fell into darkness, the Prince believed that his greatest suffering had finally ended. The Vizier was dead, Kaileena was beside him, and the terrible curse that had haunted his life seemed to belong to the past. Yet, deep within his soul, something remained unfinished.

The Sands of Time had changed him forever.

As the Prince stood upon the balcony of the royal palace, watching the moon rise above Babylon, a cold wind swept across the city. The flames from the distant ruins flickered strangely, as if time itself had begun to move backward. For a brief moment, the sound of the city disappeared. Even the wind fell silent.

Then he heard a voice.

“You cannot escape what you have become.”

The Prince immediately reached for his sword. He turned toward the shadows behind him, but there was nobody there. Only a thin trail of black sand remained upon the stone floor.

He knew that voice.

It belonged to something he had encountered during his journey to the Island of Time, something that should never have existed outside the boundaries of that cursed island. The Sand Wraith had been more than a mysterious creature wearing his face. It had been a warning of what the Prince could become when time twisted his fate beyond recognition.

But the Prince had already survived the impossible. He had escaped the Dahaka, defeated the Vizier, and returned to Babylon. He refused to believe that another curse could control his life.

He went to Kaileena and told her what had happened. Her expression changed as soon as she heard the name Sand Wraith.

“The Sands of Time are not simply gone because the Vizier has been defeated,” she explained. “Some consequences remain long after the event that created them. If a fragment of the Sands survived inside you, it may have found a way to awaken something that should have remained in the past.”

Before the Prince could answer, the palace trembled.

A deep sound rolled beneath the city, followed by a violent burst of golden light from the abandoned Hourglass Chamber. The walls cracked, and a wave of sand rushed through the streets. Soldiers shouted in confusion as ancient symbols appeared across the palace walls.

The Prince drew his sword.

“Stay here,” he told Kaileena.

She caught his arm. “Do not mistake courage for control. Whatever is waiting for you down there knows you better than any enemy you have ever faced.”

The Prince looked at her, then turned toward the chamber.

He descended through the ruined corridors until he reached the ancient room where the Sands of Time had once been contained. The air was heavy, and the floor was covered in dark grains that moved against the direction of the wind.

At the center of the chamber stood a figure wearing a familiar mask. Its body appeared covered in dry sand, and its movements were strangely silent.

The Sand Wraith raised its head.

“You have spent your entire life fighting your destiny,” it said. “You defeated the Dahaka because you changed the past. You survived Babylon because you changed your fate. Yet every choice you make creates another consequence.”

The Prince tightened his grip on his sword.

“Enough riddles. Tell me what you want.”

The Sand Wraith slowly extended one hand. A small sphere of dark sand floated above its palm.

“Your power has divided itself. One part remembers the Sands of Time. The other remembers the darkness you carried inside you when you returned to Babylon.”

The Prince understood what the creature meant. The Dark Prince had never been merely an enemy standing outside him. It was the voice of his own anger, arrogance, and desire for power, given supernatural form through the Sands.

Even after the Vizier's defeat, that darkness had left its mark.

Suddenly, the chamber erupted with black energy. The Sand Wraith disappeared, and a sharp pain spread through the Prince's arm. Dark markings crawled across his skin. His fingers tightened around the sword as a golden chain formed around his wrist.

A familiar laugh echoed through the chamber.

“Did you miss me?”

The Prince looked down at his arm. The chain was unmistakable. His body began to change, his skin darkening as the power of the Dark Prince rose through him. His eyes glowed red, and his movements became faster and more aggressive.

The Dark Prince had returned.

“You are nothing more than a shadow,” the Prince said through clenched teeth.

“A shadow?” the Dark Prince replied. “I am the part of you that survives when your noble ideals fail. I am the strength you use when fear becomes unbearable. Without me, you would have died long ago.”

The Prince tried to resist the transformation, but the power continued to spread. Black sand covered his arms and chest, forming a dark, supernatural layer over his body. The golden chain moved as though it possessed a will of its own.

For an instant, the Prince saw two reflections in the chamber's broken mirrors: the Sand Wraith on one side and the Dark Prince on the other.

Then both reflections turned toward him.

The two figures spoke together.

“Become what you were always meant to be.”

The entire chamber collapsed into darkness.

When the Prince opened his eyes, he was standing somewhere beyond ordinary time. There were no walls, no floor, and no sky. Countless fragments of his memories floated around him like broken pieces of glass. He saw the Island of Time, the palace of Babylon, the Dahaka pursuing him through ruined corridors, and Kaileena standing beside the Hourglass.

At the center of this endless space stood two versions of himself.

The Sand Wraith wore its mysterious mask and seemed to be made of shifting sand. The Dark Prince stood opposite it, surrounded by black and crimson energy, his golden chain hanging from his arm.

The Sand Wraith spoke first.

“You cannot destroy the past.”

The Dark Prince smiled.

“And you cannot control the future.”

The Prince looked between them. “Then why have you brought me here?”

“To make you choose,” answered the Sand Wraith.

The Dark Prince stepped forward. “Accept your darkness, and no enemy will ever threaten you again. Stop holding yourself back. Stop pretending that the Prince who once existed is still the man you are.”

The Sand Wraith raised its hand.

“Accepting your power is not the same as surrendering to it. If you allow your anger to rule you, you will become another prisoner of time.”

The Prince remained silent. For years, he had believed that victory meant defeating whatever stood against him. The Dahaka had been a monster to escape. The Vizier had been an enemy to destroy. The Dark Prince had been a voice to suppress.

But none of those victories could erase the choices he had made or the consequences that followed them.

He finally understood that he could neither deny his past nor allow it to dictate every decision he made.

“I will not destroy either of you,” he declared. “And I will not surrender to either of you. Whatever power I possess, I will decide how it is used.”

The two figures watched him.

Then the world around them began to shake.

A terrible roar echoed through the darkness. From beyond the fragments of memory emerged a colossal creature formed from black sand, broken armor, and twisted fragments of time. Its face was hidden beneath a crown of ancient stone, and its body carried the symbols of every forgotten kingdom touched by the Sands.

It was the source of the disturbance, an ancient guardian created when the first rulers attempted to imprison time itself. The destruction of the Hourglass and the repeated alteration of history had awakened it.

The guardian had no interest in ruling Babylon. It sought to restore the timeline by erasing every person whose existence had been altered by the Sands.

The Prince was its final target.

The creature attacked without warning. The Prince leapt aside as a massive arm struck the ground, sending fragments of broken memories scattering into the void. He drew his blades and charged, but the guardian's armor resisted every ordinary strike.

The Sand Wraith moved beside him, its body dissolving into swirling grains before reforming behind the creature.

The Dark Prince's chain shot forward and wrapped around the guardian's arm, pulling it off balance.

For the first time, the two powers acted together.

The Prince realized that neither force could defeat the guardian alone. The Sand Wraith could manipulate the flow of time, but its attacks lacked the destructive force needed to break the creature's armor. The Dark Prince possessed tremendous strength and aggression, but his power could not reach the ancient mechanisms protecting the guardian's heart.

Only by combining both powers could the Prince succeed.

He closed his eyes and allowed the two energies to enter him.

The transformation began slowly. Black sand rose from the ground and wrapped around his legs and torso. The Sand Wraith's mask formed across his face, while the Dark Prince's golden chain coiled around his arm. Crimson energy pulsed beneath the dark surface of his transformed body.

His appearance changed completely. His armor resembled a living shell of black sand, marked with faint crimson lines. His eyes burned with a deep red light, and a dark aura moved around him like a storm. In one hand he held a curved blade, while the other controlled the golden chain.

The transformation was neither the Sand Wraith nor the Dark Prince.

It was something new.

The Prince called it the Shadow Fusion.

With his new form, he could slow the movement of time around his enemies, shift portions of his body into swirling sand, and use the golden chain to strike from a distance. His blades moved with the speed of the Prince he had always been, while the darkness within him supplied a power he had never fully understood.

Yet the transformation came with a cost. Every moment he remained in that state, the Dark Prince's influence grew stronger. The chain tightened around his arm, and the voice inside his mind urged him to abandon restraint.

“Destroy it,” the Dark Prince demanded. “Release everything. There is no need to hold back.”

The Prince ignored the voice and concentrated on the battle.

He slowed time just as the guardian brought its weapon down. Moving through the suspended moment, he crossed the distance between them and struck the ancient armor with both blades. The chain wrapped around a broken section of stone, allowing him to pull himself toward the creature's chest.

There, hidden beneath layers of dark armor, he discovered a glowing symbol. It resembled the mark of the Sands of Time, but its center had been corrupted by a strange black substance.

The symbol was the guardian's source of power.

The Prince raised his sword, but the guardian suddenly seized him. Its enormous hand closed around his transformed body, crushing the black sand armor and forcing the Shadow Fusion to weaken.

The Dark Prince laughed inside his mind.

“Give me control, and I will end this.”

The Prince struggled to free himself.

“I told you that I would decide.”

“You cannot win without me!”

“Perhaps not,” the Prince replied. “But I do not need to become you to use your strength.”

For a moment, the Dark Prince said nothing.

Then the golden chain loosened, and its energy flowed into the Prince's hand without taking control of his body. The Sand Wraith's power answered from within the mask, surrounding him with a wave of silver-black sand.

The Prince finally achieved balance between the two forces.

He used the chain to pull himself free, shifted his body through the guardian's grasp, and appeared directly before the corrupted symbol. Time slowed around him. The guardian's roar stretched into a deep, distant sound as the Prince brought both blades together.

The final strike shattered the symbol.

A brilliant wave of energy swept through the void. The guardian froze, its massive body breaking apart into countless grains of sand. One by one, the fragments disappeared, returning to the endless flow of time.

The darkness lifted.

The Prince found himself back inside the Hourglass Chamber beneath Babylon. The walls were damaged, but the terrible energy that had filled the room was gone. His transformation faded, leaving him in his ordinary form with his sword still in his hand.

Kaileena rushed into the chamber.

“Are you all right?”

The Prince looked at his arm. The golden chain was gone, and the dark markings had disappeared. For a moment, he wondered whether the entire experience had been a vision.

Then he noticed a single grain of black sand resting in his palm.

He closed his fingers around it.

“I am,” he answered. “But I finally understand something I should have understood long ago.”

“What is that?”

“The past cannot always be changed. Sometimes, we must learn to live with what it has made of us.”

Kaileena looked at him carefully. She could sense that something about him had changed, even though his appearance had returned to normal.

“Is the darkness gone?” she asked.

The Prince looked toward the broken entrance of the chamber.

“No. But it no longer decides who I am.”

They left the chamber together as the first light of dawn appeared above Babylon. The city was wounded, yet its people were beginning to rebuild their homes. The Prince watched them from the palace walls, realizing that his duty was no longer simply to survive his destiny.

He had to choose what kind of future he would create.

For the first time, he did not feel the need to run from the shadows behind him.

Deep within his mind, the Dark Prince remained silent. The Sand Wraith's mysterious presence had also faded, leaving only the memory of their combined power.

The Prince knew that the Sands of Time could never be trusted completely. Their mysteries were older than kingdoms, and their consequences could reach beyond anything he understood.

But he was no longer afraid of that truth.

He turned toward the rising sun, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword.

The Prince of Persia had faced death, destiny, and the darkness within himself. Now, he would continue forward, guided not by fear of what he might become, but by the choices he made.

And somewhere beyond the boundaries of time, the Sands continued to flow.

I'm so happy! I wanted to open it right away but I was so busy I couldn't.

People kept saying that I should buy the CDs. But I always said I couldn't afford it, because of custom taxes. Then I saw a Gengar collector's video and the collectors said he bought things on Neokyo.

Guided by curiosity I decided to look for Prince of Persia media and that's why here in Brazil we have the saying: "the curiosity killed the cat":

I still was afraid by the custom taxes. One day I received some extra money and I decided to give it a chance. And the custom taxes were huge. I barely could afford it. At least I gave it a chance I now a know I won't be importing things that aren't books (they are customs free).

I have almost anything I can afford. The only things that I know are missing are Prince of Persia 3D Official Guide and movie's sheet music book. Both of them are really expensive and I know the government will charges custom fees from the later.

Since I won't buy the cds or any other media, I declare that my days as Prince of Persia collector over.
