This was on both r/whitepeoplegifs and r/blackpeoplegifs like a year ago. Upvoted both of those. Downvoted this one because it really doesn't fit the sub.

It can’t grow into a proper meme if it is only posted once ever.

All these meme hipsters and their "repost! repost!" Back in my day, we let a meme grow for a while before we tried to cut it down. Phaw!

Upvoted this, even though it really doesn't fit the sub.
I know this is an excellent vine, but this is what destroys subreddits. Their purpose is to give a specialized form of humor. Sure a few irrelevant posts here and there aren’t harmful, but it gets the users used to upvoting those threads. Eventually it gets out of hand until people who browse r/all (such as myself though I know what this sub is) start to stay here and upvote without reading the rules, or you get those karma accounts posting here to get the irrelevant posts upvoted.
Just wanted to say to you and anyone who would read this chain that upvoting when you know it doesn’t fit the sub is part of what destroys subreddits; a place which could be a hobby for some people.

Agreed. I actually changed my vote to down after thinking about it, but I'll edit my comment too.

If i'm ever a camera man for a rap video with guns pointing at the camera I am going to check each gun to make sure they're unloaded and safety on

I do video production. Coworkers at my day job have frequently asked me to help them shoot videos with guns. I tell them no fucking way unless you have the money to pay an armorer to make sure everything is 100% safe. They go “It won’t be loaded” and I wish them the best of luck because no thanks
29
u/manbruhpig Dec 20 '18
Man if I were on set with guns I’d have a strong urge to check each one myself and be the last person to check it, which i realize is unreasonable. No one wants to get Brandon Lee’d.

What you assume happens isn’t what went wrong. You’re at least the second idiot in the bread to make an assumption as to the circumstances of his death.

Lol you are really smug for someone so ignorant, u/adventuresoutdoors. Not sure what you’re assuming I’m assuming, or what you’re assuming went wrong yourself, but according to multiple sources what went wrong was a squib was ejected by a blank. So contrary to your “contribution” to this “bread,” checking the gun yourself would have allowed you to detect that hey, there’s something lodged in the barrel. What was your point again?
At some point during filming, the revolver was apparently discharged with one of these improperly deactivated cartridges in the chamber, setting off the primer with enough force to drive the bullet partway into the barrel, where it became stuck (a condition known as a squib load). The prop crew either failed to notice this or failed to recognize the significance of this issue.

I did a photoshoot for what I was told was a music group. When I was going through the photos at home, that's when I saw the guns. Turns out they are a gang too. 3 of the members have been shot at in the last year with one of them dying.

I'd be checking all those guns if I were the cameraman. the guy from Crow movie died from someone not checking a gun loaded with 'blanks' that still had a bullet in the chamber.

you could have just used another word dude. No reason to make people wonder if you're actually being racist or if you're just not very bright.
-6
u/TheRedmanCometh Dec 20 '18
I mean I don't care THAT much. That was just the word that felt appropriate. Buck wild seemed even worse.
-6
u/Rentalsoul Dec 20 '18
You could just use the backspace key instead of telling people you're not being racist. There are about 3 million other words for people going nuts/crazy/etc that have zero racist connotations which you could've changed it to. But you picked that specific one and didn't change it when you realized it sounded racist, which was before you clicked submit since there's no edit *. The simplest way to not be interpreted as racist is to just not say racist shit. I don't feel for you, my dude.

.... Gangsta rap wannabes are not traditionally known for their gun safety

Actually, quite a few of them have decent trigger discipline. For example: https://youtu.be/B9VIH89musE

Probably not. Fake guns that actually look like real guns are way more expensive than real guns.
But probably unloaded

There’s been music videos with real guns in them. I can’t remember who it was but it was recent. I want to say it was that sixnine guy but i don’t remember

u/jasonj2232 Dec 20 '18
In the cover for NWA's debut album, Straight Outta Compton, Easy-E has a gun pointed at the cameraman. When the cameraman asked Easy-E if the gun was fake, Easy-E just laughed.

I've actually always wondered if the cameraman has them clear their guns before the shoot. I wouldn't do shit for those guys if they are going to be pointing chambered rounds at me with their finger on the trigger.

Racists are generally very dumb. They have a really hard time telling what’s real or fake, being very dumb.
