Humor μTorrent users when u ask them to switch to qBittorrent

Qbittorrent is so much superior to anything else. It has every feature you could possibly want, great settings that let you change the behavior perfectly and most importantly for me: You can easily bind it to a VPN.
Why would you still be running adware

Not every feature, but damn near close. I just wish there was a toggle somewhere in the settings to move stalled torrents to the bottom of the queue automatically. Very surface level example for sure but genuinely the only thing I can think for them to add

I would love a piece view like Tixati for a little more detailed information when a torrent is having issues
Also wish it would attempt to reconnect after connection drops, if your internet hiccups you have to restart the program or it will just stay offline forever

I just use uTorrent Web because it's one of the only web based torrent clients. I prefer to have as many apps as web based

qBittorrent has a web UI, Transmission too, so not sure what you're talking about.

It's sad, not many users transmission. I have zero issues whatsoever for almost 20 years. I remember I started using before I graduated from college, using them at my dorm. Before that I was using BitComet, uTorrent, Azure. After I switched to Transmission, I had zero issues. So lightweight and it just works. I graduated Spring 2007, so I must have used it since around the end of 2006, on a Mandrake desktop.

was loyal transmission user but then maintainerr only works with qbittorrent so I had to swap over cause I was too lazy to clean up myself.

I have only seen a few people use utorrent irl but the usual reason is that they used really old tutorials for torrenting

Meanwhile, tixati people are like: huh?

u/Gnatschbert Aug 16 '26
Are there any benefits over qBittorrent?

No

it auto reconnects if connection drops, so if you have spotty internet its automatically better. With qbit you have to fully close and reopen.

I think I may be the last person still using Deluge!

There are dozens of us.
Even found a neat windows script that keeps my VPN bound without needing docker overhead.

I usually see this with people who learned to pirate stuff in the 2000's and just don't keep up with the times

People still use uTorrent? That app became trash over a decade ago. In its day, it was legit though.

Been torrenting since the beginning. Switched from U to Q several years ago and never looked back. U used to be good back in the day because it was a lightweight client but over the years it became bloated.

I've always liked Tixati for Windows and Libretorrent for Android.

Qbittorrent is too good. You can even search for torrents inside the app, amazing search engine and add-on. You don't need to visit websites.
