Informal Chat?

• Upvotes

Did an interview, was told that I needed to do an eye test and would receive an offer pending the results of the eye test. Got told that a different manager to the one who interviewed me wants to have an informal chat on Teams early next week as well. Is this normal?

Studying M.Sc in Pharma Reg Affairs at SETU

Greetings, I’m from Thailand and I’ve been applying to many universities at home and around the world, and I’ve been accepted to this program in Ireland as well.
However I’d just like to ask the usual questions you probably have gotten a lot (and I’m sorry if this is repetitive) but how’s the job scene in Ireland related to Regulatory Affairs, QA, and such related fields since if I am to pursue this degree there, I’d also like to get some meaningful work experience as well.
Please be honest and tell me as it is, I don’t mind if you criticize this or be blunt.

Interviews MSD follow-up call

Had an interview with a hiring manager at MSD, and HR is now scheduling a follow-up call. When you don't get the job, you're usually just ghosted, but MSD might be different. Does anyone know if a request for a call is a good or bad sign?

Career Advice TUS MSc in Process Validation & Regulatory Affairs – Thoughts on job market in Ireland & pivoting to cosmetics later?

Hi everyone,

I graduated 5 months ago with a B.Tech in Biotechnology from India and recently received a conditional offer for the Master of Science in Process Validation and Regulatory Affairs (Ab Initio) Pharmaceuticals at Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), Moylish Campus (Starting September 2027).

The gross tuition is €20,500, reduced to €17,500 with a scholarship, but I have an upcoming €1,000 deposit deadline on 9th November (and a requirement to pay €6,000 within 3 months).

My ultimate long-term goal is to work in the cosmetic / personal care industry, specifically in Cosmetic Regulatory Affairs, Ingredient Toxicology, Product Formulation, or Safety Assessment.

I am trying to get a realistic ground check from people working in the Irish pharma/life sciences sector:

Course & University Perception: How is TUS (specifically Moylish) regarded by Irish employers for Validation, QA, and Regulatory Affairs roles? Is the MSc in Process Validation well-respected in the Irish market?

Transferability to Cosmetics: Since Ireland’s life sciences hub is dominant in Biopharma and MedTech, is starting in Pharma/MedTech Process Validation a practical stepping stone to eventually pivot into consumer health/cosmetics compliance in Europe, or will I get locked into traditional biopharma?

Stamp 1G Job Market: How tough is the entry-level hiring market right now in Ireland for international graduates on a Stamp 1G visa looking for Validation or RA roles?

Any honest feedback from current TUS students, alumni, or industry professionals in Ireland would mean the world!

Done search here, not much about Bray site, hence asking questions

I was wondering if they do work from home for office staff? Monetary value of benefits offered- pension, bonus, healthcare?

Didn't get a chance to ask above during interview.

Interviews Salary expectations

Not necessarily pharma, but I have an interview with ICON plc this week for a position as a Senior Statistical Analyst. I have a PhD in Epidemiology, the first of their required criteria, but have little industry experience to date. Any insight into salary expectations would be really appreciated!
