Advice help, tolerance break !

felt nauseous in the morning with anxiety for a bit after using pretty much everyday for my chronic pain. went through dropping two friends, and with the help of my best friend realized my pens made it worse and has been making my anxiety worse. so i decided to take a break. i feel even more anxious now ( it’s been 3 days) and im struggling a bit. the anxiety isn’t something im used to really. i feel awful, does it get better? when? and it’s normal right?

Yes it’s very normal, you're going through a withdrawal. Your fried your dopamine receptors, now they are trying to calm down. You gotta go through the struggle.

totally normal, and it does get better. days 2-5 are usually the worst for anxiety, so you're in the hardest part right now. it often eases off in the second week. go easy on yourself: walks, less caffeine, eat even if you're not hungry. since it was for chronic pain, maybe give your doctor a heads up about the break. you noticed what was hurting you and acted on it, that takes guts. you've got this 💛

that chest anxiety is your nervous system recalibrating, it's uncomfortable but it's not dangerous. one thing that helps a lot of people when the overthinking spirals: slow breathing, 4 seconds in, 6 seconds out, for a couple of minutes. glad you've got a good friend in your corner too. check back in and let us know how day 5 goes 💛

Day 4-5 are seriously always the days where I think I can’t go any longer and the symptoms are sooo bad. Make it through this next part and things will start getting a bit easier. Until then, treat it like you’re sick with a bug. You’re gonna feel crappy. Lie down, drink meal replacement shakes and soup and find some good movies/series. Cry if you need to.

Crying engages autonomic regulation (in the nervous system). Shaking also helps with anxiety. These are waves! I know how uncomfortable that anxiety can be 😣 your symptoms are probably starting to peak now. See it for what it is. When it’s really bad, just see that every moment of agony is a moment closer to the other side. You’re literally moving through it and closer to feeling better every single second.
