STI testing

I was recently cheated on and want to make sure I’m clean. I no longer have a family doctor, where should I go for testing? Is a walk in clinic my only option?

You can go to SHORS. Call them tomorrow she will get you in

They are usually pretty quick, especially in your situation. Maybe a day or two. I go regularly for routine testing and never wait more than a week for an appointment.

PEl Sexual Health Options and Reproductive Services aka SHORS offers confidential STI testing and treatment. Just call 1-844-365-8258 to book an appointment. Should be able to get in same day or next. If you need or want it quicker, a walk in clinic will also do it.

Also an important note, depending on when the exposure happened, some infections may not show up immediately, so ask them about the appropriate testing window. Best of luck to you!

Dr. Hoffman runs a women’s clinic and usually books same week.. she’s amazing and can do testing! I find shors doesn’t always answer phone or long wait times so I typically go to her now!

If you're a UPEI student they have a clinic, as well- there are STI test kits in the washrooms.
