Discussion Wildwood movie
Any one else see the new stop motion picture, Wildwood?
Just saw the Wildwood movie out of Laika studios (coraline makers) last night and was impressed with just about everything about it— the story telling, the little essences of Portland that were included, and the art itself was very well done I thought.
If you like fantasy or stop motion animation, or even just beautiful art, I think you should go see it.
It is pg13, due to violence shown on screen and death of children being a plot point. It’s not super gory, but I wouldn’t take very young kids.
If you’ve already seen it, what did you think?

Hit and run - MLK and Alberta
Yesterday around 3pm, A Budget box truck rear ended us while driving north on MLK just past Alberta. They continued accelerating, pushing our car to be perpendicular to the sidewalk just north of Pizza Hut. Drove off like nothing happened.
I’ve filed a police report and done insurance stuff and everyone’s fine, but I’m pissed.
By any chance, did anyone see anything?

Retard drivers
Unimaginably retarded most drivers are in Portland. I can't believe how unimaginably inept most people are at driving. There is not a single instance where I'm almost getting totaled all because someone wants to go 90+ on and off ramp or getting crushed by a semi against a concrete barrier. This is some of the most pathetic and piss poor driving I've seen throughout my time traveling. Getting warned by locals about having to wait several seconds for red light runners cause that's just the norm is ridiculous.

Hope beyond hope
This is an odd request. My late brother and I used to hold a giant sign back in the early 2010s at Portland Saturday Market that said in various ways, "Need Weed." This sign got a lot of attention and a lot of people took picture of the two of us. I am unable to find any picture of the two of us together, and I'm hoping that by some miracle chance someone might still have a picture of us down there. I've included a picture of me and another friend with one of the signs for reference, and will try to include a picture of him in comments. Thank you so much!

Rental Application
Hi everyone!
I was hoping for some advice on this. My partner and I filled out a rental application for a place we love 13 days ago (9 business days). I waited untill 7 business days had passed before I reached out to the property manager we worked with and he let me know he’d check with his boss and get back to us asap… that was 2 days ago. I’ve heard mixed things online about the processing time for these and I was just curious if anyone could let me know if this is normal or not? I’d really appreciate an answer from them regardless of what it is.
