Meds/Supplements GLP-1 Advice
Hi friends! I’m going to the doctor today and last visit she said how she wants me to think about GLP-1. I think I’ve decided to do it but those who have been on it did y’all do the shot or pill? Also how was your experience?

Pill is useless. I started on tirzepatide and loved it so much. But when I needed to titrate up (meaning I was very snacky), I didn't like how it made me feel--uncomfortably full with hypotension. I personally think reta is better for us because it speeds up your metabolism slightly. And I like how I feel on it. I'm not mentally hungry for most of the week, just eat at scheduled times. But many women do like tirzepatide. So I'm not discouraging it.

The pill needs to be taken everyday 30 minutes before you eat. I hear mixed reviews on the pill. The shot seems more effective and easier for most since it’s once a week.
I’ve been on GLP-1 since 2024. No regrets! I’m also a little over 50lbs down.

Did it cause any hairfall ?

With weight loss typically comes hair shedding. It’s also common with GLP-1. I took Viviscal and it worked wonders! Shedding stopped within like 3-4 weeks for me.

I started the pill in early September and have lost 8lbs so far! I’ve had minimal side effects but there were one or two days where I was so incredibly nauseous.
I’ve had a good experience so far and would reccomend it.

I’ve been on tirzepatide for 6months and it has been super effective. No side effects and stayed on lowest dose.

Ooh the shot for sure, pill is kinda meh from what i heard from my cousin. I was so nervous before starting but now i'm like 4 months in and it's been fine. The first week I felt a bit weird, like my stomach was not happy with me but it passed quick. my hair got little thinner at month two and i panicked but it stopped, i'm super careful with my routine now. I think just go with the shot and don't overthink, the needle is tiny like you barely feel
