I see a lot of people, though hyped, having confusions about "Sanji has been taking unnecessary hits till now" thing. For me, it cleared up a lot of confusions.

I hope it's not a surprise that Sanji has been the "fast" strawhat since day 1.

People might disagree but Sanji has ALWAYS been faster than Luffy(Base) and Zoro.

I see Zoro as "strength" and Sanji as "speed" BUT we never got to see anything big that confirms it till WCI and Wano.

Now go back in time, Kuroobi, Bon Clay, etc none of them were faster than him, and yet he took hits from them while Zoro keeps showing strength feat like against Daz Bones.

Time-skip happens, Zoro's strength is shown in many ways, cuts a ship casually, cuts Pika in half, one shots Monet, all strength feats.

Luffy was cooking too.

But Sanji? Omg mind you, Sanji was crazy like CRAZY fast post time skip, but he never really cared to use it to dodge attacks, I hope others also felt smth "wrong" about PTS Sanji. It felt like Zoro and Luffy got so next level after time skip but Sanji doesn't have any big upgrades except now he can walk in air. The first time he used his speed truly was when he went from sacrificing mode to saving mode and locked-in in WCI, my boy lowk stopped time, saved Chiffon, kicked Oven, and no one saw. That was his first speed feat post time skip.

Now go back in time again, Sanji VS Vergo. Sanji heard Tashigi's tears and was there in an instant, now he fights Vergo, who is NOWHERE close to Sanji's speed which we got to see in WCI, and yet he was going kick to kick instead of blitzing him, getting his shin broken. Like bro was so fast he dodged the bullet from someone who could see the goddamn future. (A brief moment where Sanji locked in because of the whole Pudding case)

After WCI, we go to Wano. He fights opps like Drake, Queen (pre cyborg awk), etc, and I was SO CONFUSED. I was like why is my boy taking hits from these fat dinos when he is WCI FAST?? I thought of it as a major inconsistency from Oda' side. And then realised Oda has been inconsistent with Sanji since starting because Zoro has always been showing strength, but Sanji rarely shows speed.

Then we go main Queen vs Sanji, and when he goes invisible using speed, that's when I was like "FINALLY HE'S SHOWING IT".

... Sanji was this fast and only cared to show it when he HAD to bcz Queen went invisible...? If he did that before not only Queen would never hit him but he could keep hitting Queen instead.

Now we go to egghead.

Blitzes to save Nami, Bonney, Bonney again, this time stopping Nusjuro mid slash, MIND YOU A SLASH IS FAST. Slashes are instant. He stopped it, and kicked Nusjuro and then the same Sanji that is fast enough to go invisible starts getting eaten by Nusjuro ✌️

I was so confused and I thought Oda just can't handle Sanji's character bcz sometimes he's crazy fast sometimes he's taking hits from slow ass opps while Zoro continuously shows his crazy strength.

And then he's being hit by that goofy Killingham who was obviously slower too, BEING HIT FROM HIS LASERS when he could literally kick them like he did with Kizaru. And then we got hit with it. The past and Ivankov saying how Sanji takes unnecessary hits and doesn't love himself and at that moment, I felt enlightened.

Everything made sense.

I looked back, whenever Sanji used his speed was to save someone else... Not himself.

And the laser kicking? It was the power of love as Sanji said. The power of love is only used when he is protecting someone he loves. And guess who he doesn't love? Himself. So yeah forget kicking Killingham's lasers to protect himself.

After this, I realised Oda was never inconsistent with Sanji, he didn't mess him up, Oda was cooking all this time for this moment. Oda, you are the goat.

Sorry for doubting you Oda sensei, you truly are the greatest writer of all time.

What's something you wish you could tell your past self before starting this journey? No spoilers please, I'm only 3 episodes in.

You guys believe in the theory that Luffy will actually going to have a new member in the crew? If yes, who and why???

At the end of One Piece, the battle between Luffy's crew and Blackbeard's crew is something that will probably happen

Apart from the captains (which is kind of obvious) who do you think each straw hat will face?

I'm jealous bleach got it's ending finally and i got to finally see it, but I just found out I have stage 3 colon cancer and not very hopeful I'll be around to finally see one piece's manga/anime ending. :/

Hello, I have just started watching One Piece. As I write this I am watching episode 38, Nami's backstory/fishmen ark.

I knew when starting this that most characters would probably have sad pasts, however, for the most part I thought this was just going to be a happy, silly show; however, I have cried a large amount of the time while watching. I will admit I am more of an emotional woman, but please I need to know; Will I be crying a lot during this??? This is probably one of the first anime's in a long time that I don't actually know really any spoilers so I don't know if the show has any major character deaths (please don't spoil).

So please, as someone who gets very attached to character and is already emotional, will I be crying a lot during this??? And how badly???

Please and thank you :>

Not the big fights or the plot twists. The small exchanges.

One I always come back to is Whole Cake Island. Sanji spends the arc pushing Luffy away, saying he can't abandon his family and that he has to go through with the wedding. Luffy doesn't argue with the logic. He just smiles and says: “Well, that's how you are. You got us! Let's crash the wedding!”

The manga panel says it even simpler: “Of course!! Because that's who you are!!!”

Luffy doesn't always get the plan, but he gets his crew. What other small moments show that?

Most of my friends think its really bad but idk... i found it pretty good. i dont think its a top 10 for me but its better than what my friends make it out to be

I had the best time! This is definitely one of my fav cosplays since I can use my real facial hair for it!

Inspired by my two goats who awakened CoC (I TRUST SANJI). They have grown so much😭

Setting aside who would win, I think the most creative abilities are rarely the top tier ones. Some of the mid ranked powers have way cooler applications and the users are forced to think around their limits. The strongest characters sometimes get boring because brute force solves everything. Which ability would you most want to actually have day to day, ignoring combat usefulness entirely?

After cosplaying female Buggy I thought I would give the male version a try
